well guys just a small update... i was running my new Megan elbow to my down pipe with no gasket so i went and scooped one up... i noticed that my test pipe gaskets were also leaking a bit... one of em was the cheapo ebay ones that burn up and blow out so i did some repairs...

FTW!!! will this work on a header gasket??let em set to dry for a while, while i pull the DP off...this is what most of the flanges looked like, so i hit em up with a rag, and a wire brush... cleaned em right up...doesn't look like much but gets the job done..you can see a bit of the copper gasket sealer... lets hope this stuff works aye?

newish Megan elbow... been needing to get one of these... scooped it up for $60... money i don't even have... gave him an IOU...

so that gets my exhaust tightened up... now that all the big things are out of the way, it's now time to start tying up loose ends... oh, and i also figured out my speedo not working problems, was having trouble with the harness earlier on and colors not matching up, i was an idiot and didn't pay attention... spliced in the two speed sensor harness and blammo... i now know how fast I'm going for the first time since i've owned this car.... also gave me a chance to clean up some of the wiring mess in my engine bay... cut out all the auto transmission harness stuff (previously and auto car), and tucked it all away...

went for a test ride today... man this hauls ***... i thought my waste gate was preloaded for 10lbs... wrong, it's actually set at like 13.5-14lbs...

this thing is FUN on the on ramps...

tomorrow I'm going to re run my vac lines for the greddy profec B spec 2 and tinker with that...and see if my header gasket is leaking cause i still hear a small ticktickticktick that sounds like an exhaust leak...

i know it isn't much, but that's all for now folks!!!

From what Im told the liquid gasket on the exhaust manifold will just burn off, which would lead me to believe it will burn off of the exhaust as a whole as well

well guys, she got low.... long time coming....

first impressions....

went for a drive, had the adjustable dampers set to their softest settings.... ride was smooth, yet kinda bouncy at the same time, i wasn't expecting that, my Tein S-Techs had a better ride quality (handled great and rode smooooooth).... i've yet to get it on the open road, on/off ramps etc. to test the handling...

so far, i think i may have to raise the front up a bit as a rub something serious at around 2/3 full turn of the wheels....

other than that, here's the pics....

my fav shot.... so far... probably going sig status...

maybe make for good doriftos... well best as they can be with me driving...

not to bad for a total invested price of $80.... a Set of Megan Streets with only bout 2,000 miles on em.... not a bad out of pocket expense....

finally got em guys... finally got em...

now for wheels... Rota P45's or LMGT4s... wooot...

gonna see if i can work my hustling magic to get a S15 front end....

i'm still touch and go about the S15 front...

more werkz..... eliminated some of the rubbing, replaced the hood... pics...

the start....fender off and a shot of my clearance.....no mas!and finished.... no more of teh rubzgood shot of the bay, with the adjustable camber plates...finally getting the good hood on, and tossing the flat and wrinkled god one....FINISHED!! still looks like s*** tho....Sig quality photo....

that's it for today, i got a lot more s*** to button up, so more to come!!

yeah, the Rota P45s are a definite + over the cost of the Nismo LMGT4's and have excellent offsets....

i'll go with the sparco/aerocatch hood pins when i get a better good IE fiberglass/carbon fiber...

she's dumped but i have to raise her up in the front about a half inch...

so this morning i did a bit of tuning on my suspension, nice to be able to do that for a change... i measured all my heights on all four corners... and is how much i had to +/-

F/R=+3/4"F/L=+3/4"R/R=0"R/L=+1"/4

got it dialed in, remeasured when done and got it fairly level, still has a slight rake, maybe like a 1/4" rake, but nothing serious...

here's some shots of the new ride height... finished about 15 minutes ago....

don't say anything about being sunken, i know i need better offeset wheels... need a job first...i wished my car looked this good on the outside... at least i get to ride in clean comfort, and not some raggedy interior...just a shot of me towing my buddy ryan in my Tahoe one night... forgot what was wrong with his car this time.... (not the first time i've had to hook up and pull the red dragon)... that truck is endlessly useful...

that's all for now, now i gotta make a list of all the things i have to button up... like easy outing the two bolts that snapped in my polished valve cover so i can slap that on...

more updates-a-comin'

well, all depends on the route i take with it.... i'm almost settled on building this car up, with all the parts i want, engine, suspension, int, wheels etc, and then buying a CLEAN shell and swapping everything over onto that, and putting a KA and all OEM suspension parts on this car and selling it to pay for the shell...

IF i keep it, i'll be keeping it gold, with a S15 front/Same aero i had on my black car... i'll be rocking rocking the two tone, gold body, black roof and trunk w/carbon fiber OEM hood....

the only two colors i really like on the 240's is this "champagne gold" and the "super black" ..... black zenkis with clean aero are soooooooo sexy...

so it'll either look like this when done..... gold/black two tone...

or like this, gold/black two tone...

so today, i got a couple things to check out/fix...

my power steering reservoir leaks like a faucet, which it shouldn't, so I'm going to remove that, see what the problem is.... secondly, i got coolant leaking from somewhere around the lower part of my water pump... i had a buddy tell me that when the water pumps go bad, there's some kinda of internal thing that when it fills (due to the pump being bad) it over flows.... i have no idea if that's true, so what i've done already is pulled the water pump off my old motor, and i'm going to swap that one out with new RTV, incase thats the prob on the old one... so i'll be taking pics of it all as i go along, so they'll be up in a hour or so....

well.... i was only able to get to the water pump today, got a bit lazy after that to mess with the P/S reservoir, so on with pics and captions...

sitting after two nights, and a top off on the P/S res... coolant and P/S fluid=FAIL....two shots of where my coolant is leaking....my two water pumps... good one off the old motor on the left, bad one off the new motor on the right.... grooves cleaned and all...so as your water pump goes bad, coolant will leak out of this hole.... for your informationz... the hole directly on the bottom of the pump...high temp RTV FTMFW!!!!i put my thermostat back in, the one that came on the motor was stuck, so i sourced it off the old motor, and used a wire brush bit on my drill to clean the neck... and replaced the water pump... finished shot... not TOO TOO much excess RTV...add the coolantz...Bleed the coolantz....this is just a neat shot, coilovers are sweet, no more jacking up one corner of the car at a time anymore lol... not a lot of suspension travel.... sorry, just now learning the joys of coils.... and yeah, i used TWO jackstands....

anyways, final result is awesome, my car idles a s*** load better (probably due to a working thermostat keeping the engine @ operating temp), albeit @ 1,150rpm.... no more misses, skips, or sputters, not telling what it'll do @ 800rpm... but for now is good...

i took it for a little test spin, to see if she'd get hot (i was worried it would, cause i didn't really know the status of the old thermostat from the old motor)... the needle sat JUST above the C with a small gap and stayed there, never got higher, or lower, ran a bit smoother (i guess the coolant temp sensor wasn't reading cold all the time), and idled good....

next small thing to do is to figure out my P/S leak... easy....

video of good running motor, for all who're interested.... (for those who said it would never run right JOSH)http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqKHT8kMwF4

like always, more to come!!!!

So i got bored and decided to go ahead and pull the P/S reservoir off, and pics will explain the rest....

getting started.....res., bracket, and cap cleaned.... tunes on V Cast...so think i MAY have found my leak....'Rilla glue FTMFW....i got a bad case of holeiosis...clamped down, and setting.... not pictured but i got my lady's blow dryer on it right now... i don't have one of them fancy heat guns....

so that's all.... this should fix my problem, at least until i can source another reservoir..

well i got a few things knocked out today....

the high pressure line on my P/S was a little loose, not leaking but annoying, and so i pulled the line, tightened the "stud" the line goes on and fixed it..... the hard thing i did was install my APEXi Super Intake.... Hard you say? why? welllllll cause my turbo inlet elbow is't clocked for this turbo, my previous setup was with the elbow aiming right at the floor, with a Pep boys 90* metal thing, and some exhaust flex pipe to get it to go back up to.... hence the reason my my AEM was smooshed.... so i used another elbow that my buddy gave me, and still hight to fight with it for about an hour.... i wish i had $$$ to buy/fab what i need when i need it... at least i got my APEXi in...

old "intake" mess.... i WAS using that flex pipe, the 90* and the elbow shown... tried to use that aluminum 90* but it was too big...

finished.... got my oil catch can secured... was just sitting loose by the frame rail, got my AC line run where it'd supposed to be, under everything... got some wires/vac lines cleaned up....
