If it's not tinted to an extreme level, or film/spray specifically for tail lights are used, the amount of light that's diminished is minimal. Personally, I don't care for diminishing the brightness on my headlights at all; I like the road to be lit up like day from my car. But if the tail lights are done correctly, and not to an extreme tint level, the light is not diminished much at all. Different states have different laws regarding tail light tint though. Some, it's illegal altogether, others, they just have to be visible at a distance of X feet.Igg wrote:Why would you purposely tint your headlight and rear tail light to reduce their brightness?
Might as well add a big wing on the rear gate to reduce the down force on the front wheel.

Some people just don't understand. Yes is a car, but it's also an expression of you. For some it's important, some it's not.Igg wrote:It's a damn car people, not a stealth fighter, even if you spray paint the whole car black, it's still there.
Why don't you read over the comment above? Its everyone's expression. Some get tired of the same look some want to be different from others. Most of my money went to led lights and sound improvements. After all I don't even feel to get a new car since this Rogue fits my requirements totally the way I want it (even that I had some small troubles w/ it). Put some bright high power led lights in the back and then even if you tint/paint the tail light it is still going to be bright but the look is going to be different. If you want to have more light output then get a hid kit and custom tint job so it will not affect light output like this guy from cardomain did to his headlights:Qashqai wrote:I don't understand people who "play" with their cars headlamps, tail lights, glasses, etc. Just find yourself a girl and go to a cinema if you have time...don't waste your time and money on doing ugly modifications. What can be the reason to put a black film over the stop lamp and reduce light output?

well said leo, modifying a car is on different level of having a girl. I have a girl and have for the past 3 years while "playing" with my car is a hobby. Besides everyone has their opinion on what looks good and what does not. Your girl might be hideous to us but pretty to you...same goes for a carQashqai wrote:I don't understand people who "play" with their cars headlamps, tail lights, glasses, etc. Just find yourself a girl and go to a cinema if you have time...don't waste your time and money on doing ugly modifications.
