Does anyone know where i can get a black FMIC, or do you know if you can just paint them black? Any inputs would be appreciated.

I heard to use radiator paint...i honestly dont know if radiator paint even exists. But i will be painting my black as well. Not really going for the "sleeper' look but more of a theft reason. People may not notice i have nice parts under my hood.

YES!! use radiator paint, it does exist. find it, use it. dont harm your intercooler by using regular spray paint.

A light coat of ordinary spray black will be fine, just don't go overboard

Garret did a battery of tests to see if painting an intercooler effects its cooling abbility, it did not cause any problems.

I know that but most of the people on this forum are too stupid to understand the properties of heat exchangers. This thread is a prime example.

ouch, dunno why you would take something like this so personal. No I dont understand the properties of heat exchangers so I decided to play it safe and use a spray paint recommended to me. Im sure there are a lot of things you dont understand but I wouldnt call you stupid for not understanding them. Its just another thing to learn about bro.

can I ask you who you were calling stupid then? couldnt of been directed anywhere else but me. I was the only one who recommended using a particular type. Sorry for assuming, if it wasnt me then its all good, but still there is no need to call anyone stupid. Properties of heat exchange dont come up too often in conversation in my real world experience, doesnt seem like a big deal.

haha I did fail. btw its spelt Dominos, there is no E in it. I just tore my MCl so they got me all dopped up on painkillers. What of this string of failures? and Dominos is actually doing very well, but dont try the new cheesy garlic bread pizza, it sucks. sorry for the trouble guys. -John

Depends on the Dominos of which you speak. The company which would be capitalized ( Yet another failure on your part) is spelled in such an improper manner. The plural form of the word domino is dominoes. Hence you fail yet again.

dont use whatever paint... certain paints will reduce the heat exchange.

anodizing is probably the best way. Ive heard of this radiator paint but not exactly sure what it is. If its legit then it would be a good product for an intercooler.

yea, i live at the end of Nutly St on the Vienna side. I wont be driving my S13 that much anymore, but you'll see me ricing around in a black S14 Kouki instead! (not to confuse with the black one that works at Nextel on 123 next to Safeway, Chipotle)
