Look at the white part on his glove, before the explosion, then look at the object on the ground afterwards. It's the same white part from the same glove... yes, that's his hand that got ripped off.

sounds like he is pushing the bike to and well past the limit. Not really the crew chief's fault. I think that is just his glove that goes flying.

From what I've seen when draggin bikes is they do bounce off the limiter like that till the light goes green. And I also think thats his hand... ouch.
