Biggest tires on 9" rim????

i need some new rear tires on my 97 s14. the rims are 17x9 +17 offset all around. whats the widest tires i can fit on the rear?

A 275/40/17 will fit perfectly. A 285 will work too, but a 295 is too wide, its for a 10 inch wide rim.

yea i was planning on running a 275/40. there 235/40's right now. im going to keep the front 235's

275s are a little big for a 9 inch rim, but u can get away with it. a 10" rim would be the best for a 275 tho and provide a bigger contact patch.

275 is a good size though, they come factory of the older corvettes, so you have a good selection.
