I've been using BG-44K for the last nine years and never have had any fuel injector problem. I apply it every six months or whenever on a long trip. My cars are due for fuel system cleaning next month. So I have to buy either BG44K or Red Line.

Last year, there was a discussion about change in formulation of the BG44K (removal of PolyEther Amine) which may have degraded its cleaning capability.

The MSDS from Red Line shows 30-50% PolyEther Amine in its SL-2 Fuel System Cleaner. However, I checked another site for SL-2 MSDS and nowhere does it show PolyEther Amine in the Red Line ingredients (Solvent Naphtha; 2-Ethy-1-Hexanol; Alkenylamine; Xylene and Ethylbenzene). Am I missing something here? This PolyEther Amine chemical was developed by Chevron and is used in the Techron Fuel System Cleaner

I'm probably switching to Red Line but I need feedback from previous users and which Red Line product to use:-Red Line Sl-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner (Red). 15 oz @ $7-Red Line Sl-1 Complete Fuel System Cleaner (Brown/Oil). 15 oz @ $7-Red Line Sl-2 Complete Fuel System Cleaner, 4 oz @ $5

Your inputs are appreciated.

Si-1 is the product you want, it is red unless been sitting on shelf for ages and the red color turns brownish looking. The 4oz Si-2 is marketed for motorcycles and other equipment with tiny fuel tanks. I purchased a case {12 bottles} of si-1 from Amazon for $60 including shipping to my house.

MSDS for Si-1 still shows lots of PEA and is available for viewing at http://www.redlineoil.com
