After the above being said, I received a call from Joe this morning. He asked me what my side of the story was, and I told him in great detail exactly what happened. After I was through, he gave a very sincere apology, not only for the overall situation but for the fact that a simple second look at the initial invoice didn't take place, potentially avoiding the whole fiasco as well. He actually sounded like he might go rip someone a new one on my behalf!

He asked what he could to to make it right, and I simply said "cover the overdraft fees IOS incurred on my behalf." He didn't argue, quantify, or otherwise hesitate. He just said "Done." He sent me the refund, an email receipt for it, and offered to personally give me a tour of the dealership when I'm in AZ this Nov. I thanked him, and informed him that I appreciated the call and the very sincere effort to set things right. After all is said and done, I think I'll give IOS a second chance. :bigthumb:

To Heath:
Thanks for taking the initiative to email Joe. I have a feeling things would not have ended as amicably as they did were it not for your involvement. :dblthumb:

Some people think the Q is worth nothing others think its worth something. I just hope I get to see some people faces from NICO when a G50 (1990-1996) Q45 goes on Barret Jackson (Google it) and sells big. The way i see it you pay for protection, luxury and more when owning a Q, Some want to pay and others don't. Now I am no millionaire but I read posts, collect parts and learn from the best (Mike, Wes, Q45Tech, Lino, Heath, Texas Oil....) So I am getting close to restored Q slowly but surly.

Glad to hear you got it settled Lokim.

Ditto.
Joe is the real deal.
Ive always dealt with him via email and received a quote #.
Then called to place the order with said Quote number.
Joe is a true Jem when it comes to ordering OEM parts.

I'm glad it all worked out! I'm pretty sure Joe would have gotten you taken care of either way, but I if I was able to speed the process up a bit that's a good thing.

I think the measure of any business is how they handle things when there's a problem - assuming you don't constantly have problems with them. Here's hoping things will improve there. My impression is that Joe is having some issues weeding out the new help that came with their acquisiton of Pinnacle Infiniti.

Judging by his manner of speaking and general demeanor, I'd say you're right. He sounded somewhat incredulous throughout the conversation. He said "...sometimes things like this happen." I told him I agreed, and when they do everybody learns from it. It has been my experience that F-ups of this magnitude only happen once every few years, as those involved generally get the a**-chewing of a lifetime and everybody else hears about it. Hopefully he gets his staff straightened out and things can get back to the way the majority of members are used to. :yesnod

Gotta remember, Joe's been there well over a decade. They don't play games at IOS.

I know him, the owner, and most of the staff PERSONALLY, and they're top-notch people.

Nope. But like I said, I've known those guys for years. The GM of IOS is a great guy, and FAR from your typical dealership GM.

Funny story he told me once... Joe was there in the early 90's working for a high school summer job. Infiniti was in the middle of a campagin on the early Q45, and would actually send someone to the customer's house with a loaner car and take their Q in for a transmission inspection and replacement if certain issues were found. Joe got to make about an 80 mile drive out into the desert in a nearly new Q45 at 17 or 18 years old... he had to have a "permasmile" plastered on his face the whole way! :chuckle:

No, Joe has his own log in. Glad to see you finally received your money back. I think they need to get rid of the idiots that are causing all of these issues of late and actually hire someone who enjoys their job.

FYI...how were you able to update this thread's title? Did you or a mod complete this? I've tried to do this before (with the old site format) and haven't been able to do it.

Have never had an issue with IOS, well, actually, they still cant find out the part number on the stoppers for the brake pedal  maybe since you are new they want to F with you? I only deal with a select few people from IOS and they know me by first name, also they have all my payment/shipping info, all i need to tell them is what i need and they know where to bill it and send it. I've ordered thousands of parts from IOS, mainly for my buddys M30 G20 and G35 but some for my Q. Maybe you called and acted like you were some sort of know it all...

Yup, that's EXACTLY it. I called someone 1500 miles away and acted like a complete jackass to people I've never met, then handed them my primary source of funding.

To NightRiderQ45 - I just clicked the edit button on the OP and changed the title. I wasn't sure it would let me, but I gave it a whirl and viola!

Great response to a very foolish, asinine post by BCC93QT. IOS rep told me that they couldn't save any customer information into their system. I constantly have to give them my VIN and shipping info. So either you are lying or the rep doesn't know his job (could very well be the latter).

My very first order through Infiniti Of Scottsdale they sent me the wrong Throttle Body gasket and I called up. They said we have the info here on file and we will send one out to you. They had the credit card and address info on file.
