Best Wax

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

As for Wax... I don't think I'll be using the 3M junk that I bought.

AUTOGEEK was having a contest a Month ago... and I won a $95.00 Jar of Pinnacle Souverän™ Paste Wax.

Meguiars is my preference, before the wax job I wash the vehicle with my PSI washer with a good car wash concentrate that I get from Menards.

1. Wash the car, very well. Twice. Once with a lot of soap, like a foam bath. Then I use a power washer to wash it a second time, with little soap coming out of my 300PSI washer.

2. Rinse the car very well.

3. Dry the car with a 100% Chamois. It is leather is a type of porous, non-abrasive leather. In the 19th to the first half of the 20th centuries, it was very commonly used for gloves for men and women. It is commonly used as a drying material or polishing cloth.

4. Park the car in a cold area, garage, carport, etc. Make sure no sun is shinning on it. Make sure the entire car is cool to the touch and is dry.

5. Wax, either by hand or a machine. Do not burn the wax in with the machine. Be careful. You can read how to do this from the machine instructions.

6. Let the was dry completely, minmum of 20 mins. I always wait 4 hours. The longer you wait the better. Sometimes, I wait overnight, only do this if the car is in an air tight garage like mine. I have a special garage.

7. You can take the wax off either by hand or machine. Be careful not to burn it with the machine. I use the machine, then after that is done, I wipe the entire car with a large micro fiber cloth. I always use a brand new one. If you take the wax off by hand, I use 100% cotton cloth, lint free or a microfiber, but remember what I told you about the micro fiber.

All is good not matter, if you follow the steps. I hope I didnt leave out anything.
cjre1, I am going to try your way, very helpful post!

I have a few questions if somebody can elaborate on them

1) do you polish your car at all before step waxing with NXT Gen?2) do you use detailing clay at all?3) do you use quick detailer? I read some people use it before they apply NXT Gen (as a cleaner?)

Let me say that I do not have a lot of time on my hands to wash our 2 cars, so I am trying to come up with the fastest but sufficient plan to take care about EX and other car.
