Well, not really. They are reinforced, have more stiff bushings and painted silver. They are in between OEM arms and aftermarket pillow ball arms.

I love my Megan Death-Rod ends no problems yet, but for me, I think Cusco and SPL are the best on the list. I will upgrade to one of those two (probably SPL) once I shift back to suspension concerns. I only use my 240 for street, no track use. I voted for WhoBob WhatPants

see what alot of you ppl are forgetting, is to factor in the brand name. look at Greddy for example. the reason they went bankrupt is these knockoff companies. offering a product with the same (or lower in some instances) performance/quality for a way lower price.

i have no problem rocking megan anything. they are an exact copy of alot of the parts made by a higher end company. dont get me wrong, im not some kid on a mcdonalds budget either (i make 140k+ a year) i just have other priorities to spend my money on. so i am building on a budget.

I agree suspension is an uber important part, and you definatley dont want to skimp on it, but hey. do as someone else said. go to a machine shop and have a megan/circut sports/ebay RUCA and a SPL ruca tested. i wouldnt doubt they are all close.

Get whatever brand you decide on. just remember, alot of times your paying for the brand name too.

personally im going with the kit on ebay for $300, by godspeed.

you obviously haven't really compared knock off parts to real parts... regardless of name brand. Hell, SPL doesn't even have its own stamping of its name anywhere on their products... their name is located in their quality.

It's not just the arm that's messed up. It's the bearing. They use cheap bearings that give out fast. I know of several people who have had thier cheap arms go clunk clunk in a matter of months because those cheap arms have crappy bearings in them

My personal suggestions: Peak Performance and SPLBoth use QA1 and Aurora ends, some of the best in the industry. I've been running Peak Performance arms for almost 3 years and still no problems. Several have been running SPL for years and no problems also. Thieu upgrade program is pretty legit too.

I thought the same manufacturing facility that made the Apexi coilovers makes the Megan ones too. So do you hate the company just because or do you hate them because your favorite D1 driver lost out in the first round after his Megan suspension fell apart? Ooops! Nope, I just saw the picture Maybe Megan does suck. To save face, when I'm done with my Megan coilovers, I'm gonna bring em out to Long Beach and beat the crap out of Brians bike with them

Sarcasm!!!! Easy there tuff guy, I'm just playin. And it does make sense. You said you would rather ride a bike than drive a car with Megan suspension on it. I have Megan suspension on my car. I like their coilovers (so far). Do see where I'm going with this. There's no need to be rude. Hug? How bout a hug? No no seriously, no h0m0, man hug.

Tension rods:
I think Peak Perfomenace copied ARC tension rod. They look exactly the same and I doubt that Peak Performance made it first. But still it's one of strong ones out there.

EDIT: Found pictures of ARC tension rod. You know what I like? I forgot about it. I like all Ikeya Formula suspension parts. I think they are the best and top notch. If I have money, I'd have bought all Ikeya Formula parts.

And as it turns out Megan does suck. I do like the coilovers though. +1 for Battle Version. Nismo tension rod bushings are too much work for no caster adjustment.

how exactly do you get caster on 240 suspension. any tension rod isn't going to do this. caster in the front would directly come from the way the lower control arms are designed and the way they would pivot. when you think of caster think of raked out chopper. the front wheel is slanted. when the suspension compresses it does this at a massive angle. not straight up and down. caster is that angle.

a tension rod is used to stabilize the the control arms. and the lower suspension area. tension rods are important to give you steering wheel feedback and proper suspension movements.
