royal purple seemed to dissapear mysteriously from my 20.i have had good luck with mobil 1, and even normal dino oil with regular change intervals worked well.

I Like Red line and Royal Purple, AMSOIL is good as well for a synthetic oil. That is what I use is the GTR the weight is 10W 30 the factory says 5W 30 in my manual from the glove box.

RB25det but... Greddy GR oil go's for all out protection none of that questionable more hp stuff. Plus their made for turbocharged engines and are high rpm suitable. $5k+ on a motor with cheapo oil is a big no no.

Currently using Motul 300v Chrono 10w40. I have to ask what constitutes "good results?" I've had both the Motul 300v and Mobil 1 in my RB, and I couldn't tell the difference for street driving.

I run rotella in my rb20. If its good enough for a deisel its good enough for a small 2 liter gas burner.

Can you get that filter at the autoparts store? Or you have to order it from somewhere online?

Rotella T is good on engines that have oil pump slack, and want to regain some oil pressure.

The only bad thing about Rotella T, is that is *Is* made for diesels and contributes to more carbon/sludge buildup.

Nissan Recommends 7.5w-30 for all RB engines. Since we don't get that, 10w-30 should be fine.

Oil, is oil, is oil, is oil. Keep it in, clean, and the pressure up.

Thank you come again.

For daily driving, yes. For track use, no.

I exclusively ran Mobil 1 synthetic 10w-30 until this last oil change when I switched it up to Castrol Syntec synthetic 10w-30. The Castrol seems to minimize the cam/lifter noises during startup compared to Mobil 1 and it seems to run smoother in general. I'm not fully convinced since I've only driven it 100 miles on the new oil change, but so far so good. Anybody else have experience between these two brands?

i was running amsoil, but my RB seamed like it was burning a lot of it. . . so i switched to mobil 1 and so far so good. seams to run a bit smoother. but my RB is very lightly modded so yeah.

Currently I am running AMSoil in both of my DD's (IS300 & Fit Sport). So far, so good.

I'm debating on trying Torco or RP.

i see everyone saying like 20w50 15w40 10w30 and 10w40.. is it really all just preference and where you live? because i am running RP 5w30 on my first oil change and i live in ga. havent got it on the road yet, and this thread makes me feel like i made the wrong decision..
