Likewise, I don't put my a/c on unless it's 90+ degrees. But like MrIder mentioned, you have to put it on when your'e on the highway, better fuel economy.
Before buying the car 2nerchic, have it checked out by a reputable mechanic (one who isn't involved in the deal). I did the same before buying my car, and it checked out great, but they pointed out things that needed to be replaced soon so i was able to talk stuff down. Be careful, lots of guys out there claim to know what they're doing, and take advantage of your elation.
