Well, last week I posted a "let down & discouraged" thread...and now, it looks like everything made a turn for the better!

Today was the best day I've had in a while...

At 11am, I went for a job interview at Finish Line car wash (right next to Finish Line motorsports, they build maddd 240's yaay!) and got hired on the spot. :ylsuper It's goin to be a fun addition to my tanning salon thing, since I actually get to be outside and around cool guys and cars...more relaxed and easy-going, and more $ to go into MY car...which brings me to the next big event in my day...

Big Jay Dawg took me to look at an S13...a red 1990 hatchback in amazing condition. It's got a 93 KA24DE sittin in the *stripped* hatch, the interior is practically perfect, and exterior is in great condition as well. The car is going to be mine for $1500. Then, the guy is going to get it running for $750.

The car has no A/C, no radio, and manual locks/windows/etc. So basically, it's begging for an SR/RB/KA-T swap...

So in 2 weeks, I will have my BABY! I am so excited. The only obstacle now is parents...they don't know about it yet...they don't want me to buy a car with a motor swap, a 5spd, or w/out airbags...they basically want me to buy a Ford Focus and I said haha F that! So I will probably tell them in a week or so, maybe let my dad see it, but even if he says no, it's still gon' be mine.

Oh, and after that, I saw a *few* nice cars...G35s, 240s, 300s, my friend's Evo, and oh yeah, a sh**load of rice at the car show.

So congrats to me...in about 2 weeks (almost my B-day) I will have my present to myself! :) :D

Oh, and most importanly, THANK YOU JAY!

Hope you get this car! But if you don't mind I ask so the car is 1500 + 750=2250 for the whole car running with a KADE?

I can't even find a deal like that!

$2250? For a "running" 90 hatch?

Is that REALLY a good deal?

I am kind of mis-understanding; is the car coming with the KYB strust and Eibach springs already installed? If so, awesome.

And congrats by the way.

definitely think about it.

you get too excited and you'll get ripped off.

for that price I'd be wanting some A/C personally.

Tell you the truth KBB is BS. Since S13 and S14 price is higher then what KBB is because of the deman for the car these car!

I would be cool with the idea, but I would need some sort of written guarantee that I would not drive it off of the lot or out of the shop and see the engine drop out. Also, A/C would be a big factor for me, but that is your call.

Get us some pics!

Not everyone reads Super Street, etc or knows of this demand. You can find plenty of 240s that aren't "the perfect sr swap".

Well I have seen S13's for $3000+ that has been in much worse condition (and with the SOHC) than this one...actually there's even a 91 in AutoTrader for $4500...now THAT'S ripoff! So I think this is a pretty good deal. Any less for any other car would probably be a junker...

I'm a tough girl (despite what yall might think!), I can rough it out. No A/C = more power.

only when it's on, if it's off the drag isn't too bad but hey, whatever floats your boat.

you should try no ac and leather interior on a black car. I don't go without my ac too much, it hurts...

No a/c and leather interior in a red car is just as bad...I would know. Yes, it does hurt...pretty badly.

good, it's better that way.

leather slides and requires more care too.

it's pretty comfy when not scalding your flesh though.

does the car have the tweed or the softer cloth interior? I like that soft cloth, pretty damn soft...

the tweed is like the door panel fabric on the seats, kinda itchy, but it'll last a little longer usually.

the softer stuff is somewhat abrasive, but it'll hold you in well. Feels kinda like felt or something...perhaps velour?

tweed has a weave pattern similar to a potato sack.

did it have the dreaded *** rip from people not getting the car right? I hate that....mine's even worse, I have a power side bolster, and the previous idiots broke that...
