Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Just bought my rogue 2010 S. Basic in all its set up.

I have a ton of questions I have searched online but I feel you guys are more knowledgeable.
Ok,

1. Since my Nissan Rogue is a stock car it doesn't even have the mirrors in the overhead visors. I have a cheap 3 dollar fix that I bought from walgreens using a big mirror and some double sided tape. Is there anyway to replace the visor so that it has a mirror?

2. I'm just curious about decals and which decals are the best quality and would show great on a gotham black rogue. Preferably a red decal.

3. Does anybody know the BEST nav, ipod, dvd system for the rogue? When I say best I mean teh cheapest yet it is fully functional. I dont have any steering wheel controls so the connection is not a problem.

4. Since I have the basic rogue, I have only 4 side door speakers with no tweeters or subwoofer. Does anybody here recommend good speakers, tweeter, and subwoofer? I don't want to deafen myself but a good sounding stereo is always a must.

5. AND FINALLY, should I install a 5500K HID kit or go to nissan and have them install xenon lights. Which will look better at night and which will last longer without damaging my car because I heard some HID kits damage my car.

Thanks for all the help guys. :)

check ebay for the visors ive seen used ones in great shape

i bought mine 3 weeks ago used and what i plan to do is
get the oem hid headlights
and do a set up like one of the guys here recommended.
Nothing better then oem when it comes to that kind of stuff. Its more expensive but aftermarket can some times be a pain.

1. Can any visor fit into a rogue?

2. And thats what I thought but i just wanted to be sure.

Now i have some more questions like the dealership i got my car at is an hour away. Can i go to any nissan dealership to get OEM lights?

and Does anyone recommend an aftermarket system for the rogue?

No. Usually the visors are custom fit to each vehicle. Stick with OEM. Start checking auto recycling yards, eBay, etc.

You can purchase parts from any dealership. There are wiring issues that need to be dealt with to perform the HID upgrade. Member Leo2005 explains what's involved in the following thread:

For audio related questions, I would try posting in the audio-entertainment-security forum. I'm not a car audio expert, so perhaps you can get suggestions there.

Ok, Idk of any junkyards in my area but I'll probably find one.

O ok, well Ill probably have the dealer settle the problems out. I read some where on this forum that if you buy infiniti G35 harness and connect your lights to that its basically a plug n play job.

Thanks for that audio forum I'll post back here with a final decision on which system I'm getting. I want to get a good sub so probably a JL

ive never heard of the G35 harness. Maybe Leo or Philipa have heard if this fits .

My advise dont get JL audio stuff from ebay. I bought an entire system from eay a few years back. It lasted over a year and i smelled something burning. When i called JL found out they where fake JL parts. Save and get something in a store with warrenty. JL tend to run really hot so get adequate ventilation on the amps.

or wait till the navi comes out on the 2011

hope that will fit an 08

What wiring issues are you talking about?

As for HID Kit i recommend going to the site V-LED for the slim ballast HID KIT you can install this yourself, my nissan rogue was my first car and was also the first time i install a HID kit, once you get the kit it is almost literally plug and play. I would say the HID Kit is quite easy to install on a Nissan Rogue. I doubt the g35 harness is plug and play if you did not get the HID package for the rogue your headlamps are stock for H11 bulb fitting, I believe the g35 harness is stock for d2s or d1s size bulbs which is oem hid bulb size fitment. Ive been using my kit for two years already and it has never had any problems I can imagine the newer ones from the site being even better than the ones i got.

The hard part if you decide you want to install HID Headlamps that probably did not come with your nissan rogue its more complicated, you only get those headlamps with the HID rogue package or you can buy a pair off ebay. I have my rogue HID installed onto the stock headlamps and Ive been going two years strong with these HID bulbs with no electrical problems.

As for navigation and etc, I honestly believe you are better off getting an external GPS unit such as a tomtom or garmin (updating the maps is less work) and getting a AV Head unit separately. I recommend the Pioneer brands because of the ability to play divx videos on either a sd card or a usb drive. Just a note the nissan rogue has a very crappy radio attenna, fm reception for aftermarket units is terrible.

I kind of recommend against using LED Bulbs for flashers and blinkers, they were causing my car electrical to mess up, i had to take them out. LEDS for the dome, map, license and trunk light is fine though.

Hope all this helps you. :mike

When using OEM HID headlamp and ballasts, you need to convert the stock H11 bulb connector to the Nissan E02FGY-RS connector used on the OEM HID ballast. Such a harness does not exist so Leo2005 figured out how to make his own:

hid-light-replacement-t503538.html#p5733674

The aftermarket HID's you used are a totally different story.

BTW, the factory HID bulbs are D2R's
