You either get progressive lower springs (similar to oem rings except they lower your car lightly) and shock combo, or you get coilovers.

You're basically asking for a product to slam your car but retain oem like reaction to bad terrain. No such product, it is possible, but with a lot of planning and money.

As stated, buy your coilovers of choice, then avoid potholes...
haah i guess that is true, i understand that i will never have stock like reaction but im just looking for a more forgiving coilover thats what the thread was for. Like i said before its not really the potholes its just that the roads are horrible its like driving on waves which make the car bounce like a jumping bean hahah.

stance gr+ are good coilovers.. make sure they're not blown.

if they're bouncy, increase the rebound setting.

if they're already all the way stiff, and not blown, probably have shot bushings in your suspension. welcome to the s13.

Sorry to threadjack. No, not a lot stiffer. I would compare it to a set of lowering springs. They are stiffer than stock, but not by a lot.

You don't want that man, if you can't adjust the damper it will always stay stiff, you and everything inside/on your car will be bouncing every time you hit a bump on the road.
so many biased opinions. Stiffness is not from non adjustability. It's from the valving of the dampening and rebound of the struts. Nobody has used them so that answers my questions.

Wah?! What about a complete Koni w/ Ground Control setup?

My megans are REALLY soft and I don't even have the dampening at the softest setting. It's at like the 2nd or third spin right now and I think I can go upto like 5-6 spins for full out stiffness.

I think Megan streets are the way to go if you want a soft setup.

I run factory springs on some D Spec Tokicos and I love them they ride really good -- I am just trying to find a happy medium since I do not like lowered ride stances -- The geometry of the suspension was set to run a certain way when you lower a car you change that geometry and things break or tires wear wrong.

Just wish there was a way to keep factory ride height and get some wheels and tires and not have a huge wheel gap from the fenders to the tires.

Ok. I did some googling and found these Stance LX+ reviews for an STI and an IS250.

http://forums.nasioc.com/forum...42086

http://my.is/forums/f157/stance-lx-review-398334/

As per this, http://www.stance-usa.com/sus/...xplus, it seems that the LX+'s strong points are its comfort and ride height adjustment moreso than it's handling prowess. Sounds good to me. I don't need a drift/time attack coilover anyways.

I'm gonna go ahead and start considering these and Enduratechs for my preferred street/budget coilovers instead of GR+ Pro's.

awesome thanks for sharing they seem to be well liked, and the owners said they are comfortable even compared them to be as comfy as stock. I will probably sale my gr+ to get some of these but im still looking around and searching. thanks again for all the input guys.

There is. You run a larger diameter tire on a 17 or 18" rim.
