No use for the orbital buffer. Zaino (and the 5star product, I'd guess) go on and off easily. No need for a buffer.

Clay bar can be found at your local big autoparts stores (PepBoys, Checker, etc). Make sure you get the spray lubricant with it. Amazing the difference it makes.

Yeah you don't necessarily need an orbital but I have found that it does save time and does distribute Zaino, 5star, wax etc more evenly. Plus it saves my hands and arms from being sore the next day. (I hate waxing) You can get them for $30 at pep boys etc....-Chad

Best thing for your car would be to wash it with your normal car soap to get rid of the all the loose particles, then get a clay bar and a spray bottle of the same soap and start claying your car. It'll remove all the surface debris and make your panels smooth like a baby's ***. After that's done, I usually just put a new layer of wax on and then polish it.

It'll take at least half a day, but it is so worth it.

fyi, Zaino is not a wax.....it's a polish.... I use the stuff. I've seen so many Viper's, F-body, vettes, B&M, you name it.

nothing comes close to Zaino's finish.

OK. For those of you who wanted to see some pics. This is my white 1994 Volvo 850 Turbo with 155,000 miles. Original paint.

It may be hard to believe, I put 5 star on my car 6 months ago! Nothing else has been done to the paint.

The only thing that I have done is wash it about once a week. So these pics are after a simple 15 minute wash and dry.

Those Zaino pics from their website are taken right after being detailed. It would be interesting to see how well the cars would look/be protected after 6 months of normal everyday driving........

Hopefully I've attached things right, if you don't see the pics I'll get them up there..... There are pictures of a tree being reflected on the roof and a side shot.

Pls believe me, I'm not nocking 5 star.

I've seen first hand, of a 1 coat Zaino finish on some cars to some others that had 11 coats, all on daily drivers.

It holds.. This stuff is amazing.

Ya looks like it has the same results.. I just love to see the mirror finish.

You can pratically read from off of the finish

Beautiful!

I'll bet that the 2 products are very similar - However, by definition, these products are NOT a polish (which has abrasives) OR a wax (which is organic). It is a paint treatment (for lack of a better term).

Chad, I'm glad you're on board - Someone place an order and let us know how it works out.

Just keep one thing in mind - You guys busting your butts to "wax" and "polish" with whatever you buy off the shelf at the local autoparts store have NO clue what you're missing. I was on the show car circuit, have restored 2 antiques, did World Of Wheels in 89 and 90, and NOTHING works as well or lasts as long as these new polymer-based products (like Zaino and 5star).

p.s. $13 a bottle is chump change. I dropped twice that for what I currently use, and I'll bet Chad's product is cheaper - Go get some!
