I'll buy the camshaft from your 91 for $25 with shipping. What is the spec on the one you're selling?

Glad I could help out, as it is a little uneasy doing that swap. Its not like they state it in the fsm or anything, and asking a tech (when I told my best friend about it he was like I dont know, and hes a tech) leaves unanswered questions still.. So all you have to go by is forum text and user experience :)

Sorry I didnt get back to you in time for the swap, but I had enough time to see the cam (which was right) image.... Ive been busy making a class legal semi solid torque supression device on the cheap.

Glad all worked out and you didnt have to see your KA dancing 2" to either side from only going 3 teeth :) Its not to great of a sight, but is in its own way hehe. I realized how much my engine "could move" and led me to this current project.

edit to NSR: he took an s13 exhaust cam and put it into his s13 head on the intake side.... Its a 240° intake cam, he has left over and is selling.

Hey i heard that when you change the cams i your engine it will effect your springs and rods so you have to get new ones. Is this not true with the 240's? Because it seems like everyone is just buying the camshafts it self and just putting them in.

Yes and no, to the valve springs issue. Dunno why you brought up rods though

See this whole thread is on best stock camshaft combo for the s14... Wether it be the standard 232/232 s14 cams, or dropping in a set of stock s13 240/248 cams, or using the nissan motorsports cam / low budget cam (non pinned) which is 248/248 (two stock s13 exhaust cams one either rotated or pinned to work as an intake cam), or a mix of these like the 248/232 (like im running) or a 248/240 (I may try), it doesnt matter. They are all stock cams so they just drop in, needing at most a reshim.

Now the issue with the valve springs is with large lift cams. With the larger lift there is more downward movement on the valves (of course) thus can bottom out, so to say, the springs themselves and cause them to buckle.... Not really a good thing :) but if you are using that large of a cam it wont be to streetable anyway and would usually only go on a race prepped engine where the valve train would be upped anyway to allow for a slightly higher rev.

This is from what I remember so if Im wrong somewhere, someone feel free to chime in.
