I would forgo Ebay and join some Ferrari boards and place some feelers there t see if anyone would bite.
The only thing i would worry about on ebay, are people afraid to bid thinking it was a stolen car seat, no matter how detailed the auction is.
I also might put the copy of the ferrrari receipt on the auction if you do go that way, try to legitimize the seat.

But still, Ebay for something as rare and high ticket as that with a extremely limited audience gives me the heebie jeebies. Ferrari owners don't buy parts on ebay. They buy them from the dealer or other Ferrari owners.
Did you try to offer the seat back to the dealer for a decent price? (1/2 off retail?).
