well, all stuff received!

Tein H-Techs
Motor Dyne Plenum 1/2 inch
Berk HFC
19 Sport wheels
Ichina Spacers
Blue lugs for wheels
AVS seamless Vent visors!

since am taking the car to the mechanic, i though of changing the spark plugs also

I was reading allot. i thought of putting NGK Iridium IX one step colder.

allot of people tried the iridium they told me they felt better response. But can i put the one step colder in my N/A Motor? or its only for F/I Motors?

if anybody have experience plz advise.

keep it stock. unless your xar is heavily modded (turbo, high boost and all) using Iridium one range colder plugs aren't going to do anything. Even on my modded TT i still use stock spec plugs.

ok, the car in the Garage now to install the Tein H-tech + The HFC + MD Plenum spacer.

The mechanic told me, that if it necessary to cut t he rear Dumps 0.8" then it better to change them and put smaller ones. as they will cost around 3 bucks each.

and thanx god he worked before on many G35 Coupes !! and he know well how to install the plenum spacer.

cant wait to get the car ready!!

the mechanic gave me a call and told me after installing the Plenum spacer. the car idle in lower RPM! and he need raise the idle rpm!!

After i went through allot of forums reading, all ended with one thing, its fixed alone!!

should i let him keep it? or let him raise the idle rpm?

am thinking that later am going for uprev basic tune!! so am confused

any member had same problem after installing the MD Plenum spacer??????

if the cars not stalling, stumbling or having a hard time idling or coming back down to idle, keep it as it. the only time i ever had to raise idle on any vq engine was when i had a fully built head, huge cams and 1100cc injectors. idle had to be bumped to 900 via technosquare reflash. (about $500) if you go that route, eliminate all the useless stuff you wont need while your at it. like useless dtc's, bump the rev limiter, and remove the speed limiter.

make sure your mechanic does the ECU reset steps....it's adjusting to the change...aren't you having the Berks installed at the same time as well?? you might as well wait to have the Berks put in then do the ECU reset...

also, make sure the mechanic checks and re-checks all of the little hoses that connect to the plenum...just to make sure....also the mechanic should not really use a lot of torque when bolting back the upper plenum...

ok,after i talked to the mechanic he told me that the RPM is going higher, and there is a light in the dashboard, seems ecu through a cell, anyways he will reset the ECU with his computer, or maybe remove the light

anyways, hopefully i will take the car today, i think it doesn't matter since am planning to do UPrev re flash and i think uprev will install a basic tune automatically after the re flash! fix me if am wrong!

hi all, i received the car today!!

Installed the Berk HFC, H-TECHS - Plenum spacer. i asked the mechanic if he faced any problems

he told me no! everything was ok!! the tein H-techs is exactly what i was looking for! will post pics tomorrow morning!!

When i accelerate i hear rasp!! offcourse the HFC 2.5" hitting the tight Stock Y pipe!! even the mechanic told me that i have to change the Y pipe!

my only problem that my Idle now is at 1100RPM !! he reset the ecu with his computer but still! anyways after i put the Y i will make a solution or any suggestion from anybody here!??

the driving is exactly like stock, except when the car turn there is less roll!! before it was like a boat floating!!

when i hit the pedal & the car in Parking i feel the car RPM lighter and faster but in driving.. ummm still i need a longer drive..
Next step... Y pipe .... Uprev

After I installed plenum spacer, I didn't bother resetting the ecu. It did idle a bit higher but after about couple of days, the idle returned back to normal. Give the computer some time to adjust.

a drop, that if people didnt see M before they wouldn't know that the car dropped !!

i have question,

I talked to a tuner today, he told me, he dont recommend to re flash the ECU, because there is some security unit in the ECU, and within a week it will find that there is a change and it will lock the ECU. then i have to reopen it again!.. does that happens if i will use uprev?

if i remember correctly, unfortunately you do not have access to an Uprev pro tuner at your location, right?? basically, the Uprev tuner will check to see what ECU code you have and then access it to do the tune. I've had my tune for almost 1yr and have gotten re-tuned based on additional mods...no ECU lock happened to me...Not sure how they would 'lock' the ECU anyway... :gotme

If you're still idling high do the idle/throttle learning procedure. I can't remember the exact name but that might put you back at 650. As for reseting the ecu I've done it a couple times aftr and before UpRev and haven't had any locks. I did the one method that doesn't involve a computer.

Actually I think the ecu reset is supposed to reset the idle rpm to oem specs but the throttle learning procedure will still help you.

well, my car is american specs so i guess they can tune it, but not through pro tuner coz we dont have UPREV Tuners here!!

usually they use here Apexi Super AFC and use it with the vq35de

the one thing i dont understand with UPREV when i reflash it, will it install a basic tune (i choose rev limiter) (throttle body wide open) ..... etc

or it will install a full tune considering my mods?

i understood that with with re flash i will get a basic tune.. and then if i want an accurate tune considering my mods i have to record data logs then send them the files and they reply with tuned maps... am i right? fix me if am wrong?

am still getting the high idle, but the idle is going down every time i drive my car, i think the ecu is learning.

resetting the ECU after installing the plenum spacer will raise the idle to 1200rpm ( same what happened to me) coz the engine still didnt adjust to the new mod!!

about up rev... hope u reply on ma above q! thanx

not sure of the basic reflash...so I can't speak on that. I left it up to the pro-tuners w/dyno to make necessary adjustments with air/flow ratios, cam timing, etc....

after 10 times trying i finally got to reset the throttle position!! and my idle came bak to normal!!

Well i found out that we have an authorized uprev dealer in Bahrain!!!!

but the question is: how they will dyno my X!! i don't think they have AWD dyno!!

after a long reading through forums, our AWD system only work when one of the back wheels slip! and its work from 0 to 10mph every time we launch the car!

are the front dyno rolls move? or only the rears?

Anybody tried to Dyno M35X or M45X?

^ @ JDM - you may need to check the o2 sensor connections....otherwise, it sounds like you may be running LEAN. if you have the KnN drop in filter and the 1/2 spacer, you are allowing a lot of air in .... once you get tuned, your air/fuel settings should be at a good ratio.... hopefully it's just the sensor connection..... you don't wanna run LEAN for too long....
