Agreed and agreed.BrianHarte wrote:
Teaching people the difference between "your" and "you're" should be a key.
Liking cars is fine, but let's try and have a pool of EDUCATED enthusiasts.
I have to disagree with you on some points. I never hate on typing skills, although if I have seen thirteen threads about a new topic that a noob has started a new thread about, then I feel that it is someones duty to let the noob know of the search button, and if a little ish talking is said then so be it. I feel there should be a minimum amount of posts on other peoples threads before starting their own threads. I also feel there should be a filter for the topics, if the topic is similar or identical to other threads then they should be directed to a list of similar threads.DINO THE WHEEL GUY wrote: I have been on the forums here at NICO for about a year or so , and have met a few nice people. The one thing I have noticed is that if you make an error like leaving your caps lock on or mispell a word here or there, there is always some one right there to rip you a new a$$ hole. I was only being sarcastic to help prove your point.DINO THE WHEEL GUY wrote:This is the kinda crap I am talking about, just got to talk s#$t and piss somebody off by calling names, and not always a good idea when you post a pic of your car MY SHOP IS IN TORRANCE CA YOU MORON!!
Not a very professional thing to say I would think. That makes me think that you are going to take this internet crap personally and treat certain customers different. That is more immature than anything I have ever seen on here.DINO THE WHEEL GUY wrote:This is the kinda crap I am talking about, just got to talk s#$t and piss somebody off by calling names, and not always a good idea when you post a pic of your car MY SHOP IS IN TORRANCE CA YOU MORON!!
Except for that. That comment makes you have more respect for a shop that is going to judge people by what they type online. BS> and pure ignorence.amolao wrote:

People over the age of thirty can be just as immature. Being older (like myself) is not a qualifier for intelligence or courtesy. I wish it was.Yesitisi wrote:And, also, you have to understand that most of people on this forum are generally under the age of thirty...
...Which commonly makes them "know-it-alls" that thrive on meaningless, ridiculous and obnoxious nonsense like grammatical errors and wheel choice.

Honestly, I don't care how smart someone is "in real life" if they come onto a message board and I can't understand a GD thing they've typed.
When some one posts up wheels and a person who has more expierence with wheels (not higher post count) tells the OP that they are ugly or the offsets suck ect is probably doing it because they KNOW that they won't fit or will look like sh*t ect. Couple that with the fact that people get butt hurt easily unless the person is like.... "hey OP I don't think those wheels look good on a S(13/14). You should try and do this mmm k pumpkin?"Yesitisi wrote:For me, NICO has been infamous for flaming/hating for years.
Whether it be a grammatical error, or something as simple as, "I want these wheels. What do you think?"
FAR less than other forums. From a staff perspective you are damned if you do and damned if you don't. Crack down on some a$$ and you are accused of being a Nazi, let members work things out and the forum is accused of being full of flamers/haters.Yesitisi wrote:For me, NICO has been infamous for flaming/hating for years.
Hello. I like you. I'll give you the short and dirty explanation: I've been a member since the old Nico/old vb bulletin board where things were cool because we had maybe only a few hundred members.DINO THE WHEEL GUY wrote: I have been on the forums here at NICO for about a year or so , and have met a few nice people. The one thing I have noticed is that if you make an error like leaving your caps lock on or mispell a word here or there, there is always some one right there to rip you a new a$$ hole. depends on what you got. my dodge has the original 230 flathead 6 with a carter carb and a split exhaust manifold. i got a transmission out of a '53 so 3rd and 4th are synchronized, makes driving in town a lot easier.DINO THE WHEEL GUY wrote:You want to sell the 49 dodge?Ill trade you for my wifes car...loljust dont tell her
