Thank you......... That was kinda the answer I was looking for98koukile wrote:For a beginner, car and driver should be the only answer...Once you get the hang of it install parts one by one and see the difference they make. That way you form your own opinions and you aren't just taking advice from people on the internet. You also learn a lot about your car and its handling characteristics. They always say in racing its harder to make a slow car fast than a fast car slow, same goes for drifting
That's if you want to learn how to actually drive your car...not drift.Drewster wrote:Go autocrossing
which is in fact a smart way to startDrewster wrote:Go autocrossing

yeah you have to know about grip driving before you start drifting as your line is still the same doing the out to in, in to out idea.Kalypso123 wrote:

Don't you have any thing else beter to do, you stupid. Other than flaming other peopleBrianHarte wrote:lol at the rest of the advice.
hydraulic e brake and stuff.
stupid.
Thanks agane for your advice. And sorry for that attiude I just gave you.BrianHarte wrote:5th response in this thread.first page.go look at it.
I offered HELPFUL advice.
3 MAIN things you should get
LSDcoiloversbucket seat.
Did you miss that part.
then, tons of people replied with stupid posts like "search" "noon" "in before lock"
THEN after that, I made a post saying that people should just not write stupid things in the thread if they have nothing to offer for help.
So, since you don't care for the advice I gave a long time ago, just go ahead and start autocrossing and install a hydro e brake.THOSE will be the best things you can do to begin drifting.
enjoy.
ok... that was meBrianHarte wrote:

wouldn't that be upgrades for the intermediate drifter? I think a bone stock 240 would do justice for beginners. Then when you feel the car is a limiting factor or when you feel you can handle the upgrades, swap a nice lsd and start doing suspension.BrianHarte wrote:5th response in this thread.first page.go look at it.

yeah you have a point there, but I think that a beginner can learn a lot just on a stock 240. I used to do half *** drifts with an open diff before with stock suspension and it sucked, but it taught me a lot. In the beginning i was stoked if I could just get some counter-steer going lol. The vlsd upgrade made a world of difference, but now I feel like it's slowing me down in the turnsBrianHarte wrote:I disagree.
Why bother trying to drift on an open diff or whatever. Just go right to a 2 way LSD. That's what I did.Same with the other things.
I figure. why bother wasting time and money and B.S. "halfway" parts.
Just do the right thing the first time around.
