Cake is so festive, ya know. Birthdays and such...

Pie, to me, is for every occasion. Although cheesecake kinda fits into the basic definition of a pie.

This leads me to my next thought: Is it really fair to call cheesecake, "cheesecake"??

Does it fit the description of a cake? Or is it more of a pie? If you examine the basics of cheesecake production, it closely resembles that of a pie. At least, more so than that of a cake.

cheesecake is awesome because it doesn't follow the rules. it doesn't have the normal "cake" texture, but neither does it have the pie crust we have come to love and expect. Cheesecake needs a new name so it can fit into its own confectionary category to prove its awesomeness

I think we have a litmus test for whether a persons life is completely screwed up. I was watching Letterman and he had Carmen Electra on. He asked her about her 5-month marriage to Dennis rodman and she chuckled and replied "hey, I did better than Brittany Spears". It was at that point I realized, if Carmen Electra can laugh at your life, man you got problems!
