I just deleted a thread. It started out lame granted and stank of rice but some people responded with a sledgehammer when an open hand would have done. Nico is a place where people from different backgrounds and interests come together. Not everyone will agree but I do expect that all will act with at the minimum some decorum. Discourse is fine, spraypainting a thread with venom is not, think before you post and don't make me smack you. Alright enough of that, somebody start a "who's the hottest chick" linkfest thread, it's been to long;)

yeah i remember it got pretty ugly pretty quick. but people should try to control they're hatred of things so's not to make things worse. when i disagree with something, if i dont have anything nice to say [or cant say it in a nice way] i dont say anything at all. but thats just me

Just sit back for a few moments and think about it. Don't you find the above statement to be a bit dramatic? A mod edited your post. It's not like he came to your house, drank all the beer, slept with your girlfriend and then ran over your dog on his way out.

We're all guests here, and the mods are charged with the task of keeping inappropriate comments/behavior off of these forums. We might not always agree with their decisions, but we do have to abide by them.

All in all, I think NICO is a pretty cool place to hang out.

Yeah, people ask stupid questions sometimes, and want to do some things to their car that I personally find pretty tacky. Nothing positive comes out of being an ******* and slamming someone for asking an innocent question.

Educate people instead of just going off on 'em. Sure, people should use the search button more often, but don't be a **** when you tell someone this.

If we, as a community, don't start being more tolerant of newer members, I think we'll lose a lot of what makes this place truly special.
