Anyone follow college football? I know I shouldn't post this in the Altima section, but I wanted to share with my Altima brotherhood the excitement of Hawaii football. Here's an ongoing thread in gen chat: zerothread/294995 Please feel free to join in. Or ring in any thoughts on the BCS and Heisman watch.

It should be a great game.

It was unfortunate to hear the Georgia coach was not too thrilled to play Hawaii in the Sugar Bowl though.

I think its BS that stupid Ohio State gets to play for the championship. Hawaii deserved a shot!

I'm excited to see how Hawaii plays against a big SEC school like Georgia, but i still don't understand how Kansas gets the BCS game over Missouri. it seems that they are being rewarded for playing an easy schedule and not making it to a conference championship game.

I finally had the chance to sit down and watch Hawaii play and entire game vs Boise State. I had a blast watching you guys get after it. I like to think I know good football having grown up here in Texas. Hawaii played every play with total emotion, hell I was fired up in my living room! Hawaii absolutely belongs in the BCS, remember what happened last year with Boise State, could happen again. My Longhorns played with the emotion of a good chess match this season. I am really glad we didn't play Hawaii this year, we would have a coconut shoved up our ---.

Yeah, Hawaii is a great team this year; still underated if you ask me, but hey, we're used to the non-believers. We'll see when they match up with an SEC powerhouse come New Year's Day. Little do people realize, Hawaii is a spoiler to the doubters. Being on an island and so isolated from everyone else, no one takes this team seriously.

With a microscopic sized athletic budget, mostly local recruiting, and all other factors considered, UH is a great team. To be the only undefeated team in 1A football is speaking for itself. It doesn't matter how "soft" your schedule is, any college team can beat another any given Saturday, period. Prime example: Appalacian St beating thou mighty Michigan Wolverines this year

If you guys get the chance come Jan 1, please watch the game and you'll see that ball flying in the air 40+ times from the Hawaii offense. It'll be an exciting game, for sure.

Yeah, it'll go to Tim, I'm sure. Unfortunately, I think he's a product of a system and not a pure passer. I don't mean it in a bad way, but I'd be suprised if he ends up playing on Suday's as a first stringer. I don't see it happening off the bat, but maybe in a few years. I also don't see him going very high in the draft. He doesn't have all the tools to be considered a complete QB. But like I said, I don't mean any of this in a bad way. Just my opinion. And yes, he will win it come Saturday.

I honestly think Colt will get more PT at the next level. And I honestly think he will pan out to lead an NFL team sometime in the future.

LOL i love it when people say "system quarterback" its such an insult. However Tim Tebow is probably the latest Urban Meyer system quarterback who suceeds in college and goes on to suck in the pros...does any one remember Alex Smith at Utah??

Yeah, whatever happened to him anyway? Is he the starter for the 49ers? I don't follow them so I wouldn't know. Sad to see a #1 overall pick not pan out in the NFL, huh?

Like I said about Tim, he'll win it. But I don't see him playing much at the next level.

he is still the niners starter but right now he has an injured shoulder. im a big utah fan so it is very sad to see a guy like alex smith take such a fall. but anyways i was always a big timmy chang fan. last i heard he threw like ten interceptions in a preseason game for the eagles.

Look up the definition of "system quarterback" and you'll see a pic of Timmy UH's run and shoot is a high powered offense which any decent QB would put up good numbers in. But, the difference with Colt is that he is a pure passer. He is very talented, and he has great vision. This guy sees everything before it even happens. He's way underated in my opinion. I'm not being biased, but I seriously think he will be making a living on Sunday's in the very near future.
