Will this work with the V-01 rears? Has anyone here done it?

I tried the locking collar on the spring seat and it was too small for the shock.

How do you know you have a v-01 rear?

All? As in all four!?

WTF! How come BC told my vendor that what they sent me from direct from Taiwan was right?

I have V-04 fronts (04+ G35 AWD) and V-01 Rears (06-10 M35 non-AWD).

FFFFF MEEEEE. Coilovers have been the worst thing to happen to me in a while. If I just installed the wrong stuff in my car and now I can't return it...I"m going to kill something.

Should of went with bags... All you new to adjust height is a switch! Jk with ya, sucks that you had bolts that wouldn't come off. I had to cut off one of my front bolts when I did springs because it wouldn't come off. Once everything is dialed in I'm sure you'll be happy. As for having different stickers than the othe user maybe they figured out what's interchangeable and decided to save money and send out what works. As far as I know the difference between the X and other M's is in the front. Believe it or not but before bags I wasn't able to get my car on the lift without using a jack first lol. That's why I didn't buy coilovers, to much work dialing in the ride height for me. Gl with your set up and don't give up on setting your height without paying a shop. Quick question though, how much difference is your shock height compared to stock?

I don't recall, but it was pretty close in over all length.

My issue is that I had set the springs too low, now to get them high it's damn near impossible. It will take me HOURS per side to get them all the way to max height. Time is money in this case, and if the local shop isn't too expensive, they can deal with it.

I bang my hand(s) a few times when the key thing slipped off the rings and really have no desire to do that again. Split one of my fingers right open.

I am beyond frustrated and should have just went Espelir with new KYB's or a true coilover set. Lessons learned.

Here is how the car sits right now. I have an appt with the local speed shop to get the front down a hair more and the back up quite a bit (as far as it'll go up probably).

That doesn't look too low. What is your height from the ground to center of fender? I say match the front and then raise it for winter :)

How fast do these settle? Cause it's a little lower now. lol.

I want at least a finger and half/two fingers cap all around. This is way too low for me.

front is too high

1 finger gap at all 4 corners would be great.

Ilyakol, Did you ever get this aligned yet? Any issues with the alignment? I'm thinking about D2 coilovers to get a small drop but don't want to go forward if alignment is going to be a problem for even a small drop. As far as I know the camber adjustment kits are not available for the awd...

I haven't bothered getting aligned yet as I need to get tires so I'm going to do it all at once. It seems to drive pretty straight though.

I have the Esplirs and you wouldn't be able to put a finger or 2 in the back. The front would might be able to get 2 fingers in. I left the stock struts tho... Do you think I should have (going forward) change them ?

How many miles are on your car? If it is anything over 60-70k, I probably would have done the struts/shocks at the same time.

Sure you can. Many people run springs instead of coilovers. Me personally, I don't really like to put springs on stock struts as the struts weren't made for lowering. But, with coilovers, everything is made to work together.

because your M is an X you may be able to get your alignment in to oem specs, anything lower than this and you'll need bolts or camber arms for the front.
