Well they kind of do. Didn't they show like some weird light particles streaming through the sky? I'm sure the 2nd one will be even more bad@ss. I'm guessing you'll be able to play as any or all of them too.

It wasn't frustrating at all. There was plenty of time to breathe with collecting items and fighting enemies was awesome. As you upgraded your powers your enemies became stronger and it was a total blast. Probably the best exclusive PS3 title, at least that I've played.
Since this thread is back from the dead:

I definitely found it frustrating. I borrowed Infamous from a friend and got about half an hour in before I was ready to throw the disc at the wall. I don't understand where the game's wide praise is coming from. Are we playing the same game? The controls are some of the worst I've wrestled with in recent memory (if not for Dark Void they'd be THE worst). The climbing mechanics are horrendous and so over-automated you really aren't in control half the time. This game came out 2 years after Assassin's Creed. There's no excuse for any game to have climbing mechanics this bad 3 years after Assassin's Creed showed us how fluidly climbing can be. It's just press and pray. Who knows what Cole will grab onto. Probably not what you're aiming for.

The health system is terrible, too. You die quickly but recover slowly. I already hate the whole regenerating health thing but in Infamous it takes about 3 days to even START regenerating. Really kills the flow of combat.I also strongly dislike the fact that you have to keep tapping the attack button to use the main attack. I realize it's because later you can charge it up, but it still doesn't work well. The fact that the devs couldn't find a better way to do this speaks volumes on their lack of experience...and their lack of playtesters with brains.

Aiming is also extremely sloppy and vague. It's impossible to be precise. You don't just aim and fire, you aim, then fiddle with the aim to try and home in, then you fire. That sucks. Changing stick sensitivity does nothing since it's not a responsiveness problem, it's a design problem.

There's really nothing about this game that did NOT strike me as being notably horrible.

I was going to make a thread about how much Infamous pissed me off but then I re-read your above post and decided I'd just get my rant out here and be done with it.

I have read more good things about Darksiders and its Zelda parallels, so being a Zelda fan I'm debating whether to pick it up.

Infamous

Now that you mention it the climbing was probably the most frustrating part of that game. At times it really pissed me off but it was not enought to deter me from playing the game. There were times in Assassin's Cree I & II where the climbing pissed me off. Same goes for Dark Diders. It seems that no one has mastered this technique. Probably because it's not something that can be replicated naturally and the interaction between the characters and the environments needs work. Physics/solids for sure.

I didn't have any issues with the aiming system and usually keep my sensitivity controls as default. This might be because I'm not a PC gamer, so it was somewhat familiar to me.

As far as health regen it was weird. But once you start riding the tracks for regen it makes things much easier. It didn't get much press and was released around the same time at Prototype which ended up being a bit of a disappointment. When you compare the 2 games I think Infamous has the upper hand which is part of my enthusiasm for the game.

Dark SidersPros

I have yet to meet someone who didn't love Dark Siders. It was truly a unique game that has amazing characters with great voice acting and an awesome story. The ending was very gratifying and pumps you up for the second installment. Your "pseudo side kick" is Mark Hamil, what else do you need? The enemies are amazing and the environments are beautiful. The puzzles are pretty clever and I didn't find any of them ultra annoying.

Cons

I experienced one glitch towards the end which another dude told me he had the same problem. Another falling through the ap ordeal which forced me to reboot my system. The game is not super dynamic. Once you figure out an enemy's or boss' attack pattern they're pretty easy to beat.

Overall I consider it an excellent game that deserves a second play through. The length of the game felt just about right. I can;t even explain how well detailed the characters are and how much much wow there is with them.
