Bar's is not good. Damaged my 2004 Nissan car. First it busted all the cooling parts by clogging everything and then follow engine damage by overheated
You try to fix a minor coolant leaks and ended up to junk the car or to spend a lot of money on it
Don't believe anything on the reviews, fabricated and posted here by "people" without full names, no address and no phone number to verify if any of this is true or not, in fact, there is no proof and evidence on Bar’s claims on its products

It rings to me that everything posted here is not true at all and I think you better think twice before using a product like Bar's HG fix or feel very sorry for doing that

Bar's used to work for a while on very old engines without aluminum heads, but now it won't work at all and it will damage engines having aluminum heads (aluminum engines manufactured from 1981 through 2013 are in big trouble)
Ask a good mechanic before using a product like Bar's and don’t trust reviews posted on the internet. Aluminum head gasket expands 33% or more when engine is hot and Bar’s products cracks and breaks under this expansion and as a result, you will get a bigger head gasket leaks than before for using Bar’s Products. Sodium silicate (glass) used by Bar’s will get hard as a rock at high temperature, but as any glass bottle, it will crack easily and that is why many people reported keep adding the product 2 or 3 times on the same problem

Bar's Products Inc Holly, Michigan is owned by people having no integrity, is corrupted people.
They holed up in a remote place to be away from customer’s complaints and not to pay for damages done by its defective product.
Authorities must shut down Bar's Products, the sooner the better
Damages by using Bar's will cost you thousands of dollars or you will have to junk your car

Can you allow this company keeps selling garbage to damage your car?

Any of those products are temporary fixes unless damage is too extensive and cant be fixed by "liquid"

Anyone who thinks you can dump something into a hole in your car to repair it (or make up for years of neglect) probably deserves to lose their car...

Thee will always be shady products. Buyer beware.

I've used bar's stop leak products on everything from a 68 ford to a 95 cavalier. I used it on my 2008 harley even. I've never had a problem with any of them.

I thought exactly the same thing when I scanned them last night. I was ready to delete the heck out of this, and possibly execute some prodigious banhammering, but looking over everything made me unsure.

Worst scammer ever?

I had the exact same reaction when I was ready to execute.

Bar's, no technicians, no engineers working on a very large testing area on all kind of engines and cars
No Research and Development, no chemical laboratory, only a lot of home videos taken in the garage with signs posted on the wall
My damaged car is a problem and I will get lay off from my job.
Every week I need to take my disabled daughter to the hospital, but I can't

If you have a blown headgasket, bars might get you home. I think that's pretty much the claim, and only reasonable expectation.

Fixes don't come in bottles.

Except my 240's 20w50+motor honey. It does come in bottles.... but REAL fixes don't. Especially head gasket fixes.

The early 90's was oldschool and backwoods?

We drive oldschool, backwoods cars.

Hey, I'm not saying it's a good idea, or a modern product, just that we have oldschool backwoods cars :naughty:

reading this thread and learning that it was meant to melt glass in was news to me. I seem to remember that glass slurry was what cash for clunkers used to sieze engines.

I have to assume when you get it hot, it just melts again and not only keeps leaking, but also puts glass in your cylinders.... after all, you set it by running the engine pretty cold for a few minutes.

Yeah, there's some very sad videos on youtube of them siezing motors, one after the next, in a parking lot of great looking and sounding cars.
