Banned???

I have been wonderin, has anybody on NICO actually gotten banned or banned someone? It just seems that we are mostly rational with our discussions it seems like there is no reason for it. But i am still wondering if somebody has actually gotten banned. Maybe its been asked before but i havent really been here for that long, so i dont really know about the beginnings and the troubles the veterans went through to make this forum one of the best.

Suprisingly, they have never banned me. They have probally wanted to a time or two.

But it doesnt happen often. The mods run a great site, and most people are pretty respectfull of others.

Yeah i've noticed that, most are usually repspectful of others. Its just kinda wierd(in a good way) that nobody really gets banned on NICO, things never really get out of hand. The majority of us behave pretty well and the mods calmly warn would be troublemakers. I wonder what it would take to get banned? But just out of curiosity, why would they even think of banning you JESTER? most of the posts i read from you are pretty well thought out and shows maturity.

Everyone has bad days and it may be reflected in your posts. I know I have. I use NICO as stress relief alot. I have a high stress job and hang out here to bleed some off. But I try not to be an butt head.

I do belive there has been a few banned, but it has been a long time.

I do belive there has been a few banned, but it has been a long time.

Its very rare for us to ban folks because like you said we are all a good crowd here.

And when someone makes a bu.t.t head out of himself we warn him via email ( or if are are mad not so gently).Sometimes we even give folks phonecalls at our Admins expense.

Es pecially if someone who has contributed a lot is on a downward spiral.

I remember this one kid almost ayear ago who we liked and I think a lot of otehr members to and he usedd to contribute well.

But then suddenly he turned weird and made an a.s.s out of himself to everyone,(ourselves included) leaving us little choice.

But its much rare than on otehr sites and PPL have gotten second and third chances that they wouldnt have gotten elsewhere.

Truth is we like our members and hate to ban folks, thats why you know, if anyone ever gets banned here, they really needed it.

Banning ususally happens when someon doesn't maintina the friendly/respectful environment of NICO. And I don't think anyone has been blindly banned. From what I know (which isn't much) they are given fair warning and explanation of what has occured.

The Mods on NICO are vary fair and upfront, especially considering NICO's size.

Now thats what makes this a good site, respect. Its just odd that this forum is so well organized yet i have fun and enjoy the discussions here. *shrugs* oh well, i guess i shouldnt take it for granted, cause its not often that happens.

That's what makes NICO great. We all have respect for one another, a terrific group of moderators and admins and of course Greg, and a bunch of great knowledge. You normally don't find all of those things in one forum with such a large group of members.

and I still hang out with him all the time. He just went through a weird faze where he hated all forums and had to start shiet.

Yeah, GTRMonkey, R32, JDMaster has been banned 3 times... the latest time was because one of his friends got on his email account and sent AZ and a bunch of other people (everyone on his contacts list) a ****ty email. Haha... and yeah, he's my fault... I brought the kid here, but he's getting better.

heh....i dont think i can ever just leave. I would have to be banned in order for me to stop bein a part of this. And even so, i will always come back to haunt. j/k Anyways, i have registered to other forums, but for NICO to have this much memebers and still be well organized is a great accomplishment. I hope NICO never goes downhill. Thanks for givin a car lover like me a place to hang out with and not havin to get mad at little pr1icks.

there are even some memebers whose name we dont speak....they are just THAT bad and had to be banned. i mean, if i mentioned Lost_To_A_K_Car's name, who knows what kinda crazy end of the world stuff might happen.....
