You lucked out. When I had a similar problem and got a hold of them politely I got a ******* response.

Its a little off topic, but how streetable do you find the Stage3 to be? Just a little sharp or downright scary in traffic?

very easy to drive in traffic. That car is my daily driver and I live in the middle of town. It's still a sprung clutch plate so it only chatters every now and then. The pedal pressure is really light (almost too light) so it's not tiring to drive around all day.

Pulling this out of retirement...

I've had much worse problems with SPEC clutches in my DSM.

Clutch #1) Broke it in for 500 miles (got 400 miles on a 14 gallon tank ) Didn't race at all, no launching, spent the next 1500 miles breking in the built engine. But at 1200 miles:SPEC warranties their clutch discs for 120 days, but because the clutch was bought 6 months before the car moved again...

Clutch #2) Broke it in for 500 miles again. Followed that with the last 300 miles of engine break-in. No racing - wanted to but drag strip was rained out. At 1200 miles AGAIN:

Anyway, my DSM clutch kit, a Stage 2, used a Dainkin/Excedy pressure plate and was good for ~350 ft lbs. I was only making about 250-275 ft lbs.

I've got Spec Stage1 from this board. Clutch has never slipped, BUT after ~2K miles one of clips broke and turned around, thus catching bellhousing. Pics are here:http://community.webshots.com/...YGifaHowever after this I was able to drive again and it still didn't slip. Took it off because I'm rebuilding the engine. Before that I was putting down ~250whp and it held fine
