I purchased my 3.5 Coupe about a month ago. The dealer tried to rip me for about $1500 over invoice so I said to them: "At that price you better throw in the Stillen Body Kit". Suprisingly they agreed!

So about 10 days pass and no word from the dealer... I call them up and they inform me that the parts have arrived and they are just waiting on paint. I gave them a couple days and called back and they tell me that they are still waiting on paint... I'm a pretty patient guy so I said OK. 6 more days and 6 phone calls later... Still no F'N PAINT!!!

So a total of 18 days later I finally receive a call saying the parts are ready to be installed and to bring the car in 7:30 Monday morning. I bring the car in that morning and of course I'm not marked down for an appointment... They scratched me in and said the car would be ready by 6PM tonight. They ended up giving me this POS chevy cobalt for a loaner with what i hope were coffee stains on the seats.....

To stop myself from writing a book about this let me just say 4 days and many angry phone calls later the parts were still not installed. I was finally told by the service advisor that the techs could not figure out how to install the front fascia and the car was sent to a local body shop to finish the work... I couldn't get out of work and by the time I got home the dealership and the body shop were closed.....

I got a call this morning saying that my car was finally finished... I got there and as I was walking up to my car I couldn't believe my eyes.... the jackasses installed the fascia, trunk and roof spoiler, but completely forgot the side skirts!!!!!!

I charged into the service area ready to hurt someone and of course the director wasn't there but I ran into the service advisor. The dealership is lucky her cuteness calmed me down a bit... lolShe said she spoke to the director and he wasn't aware that was part of my order.... Friggin jackass..... I ended up finally talking to the customer service manager who assured me that the side skirts would be ordered and installed at the highest priority and they also are ordering me a "Stillen Grille" for my troubles. I was still pretty pissed at the time and didn't stop to think if he meant an actual stillen manufactured grill or if they are just ordering one from the stillen website...

23 days of this crap = high blood pressure and a stillen body kit minus side skirts

/end rant

+1 U did good, All those items with paint (especially a dealer) would be more then $1500.00 Looks Great! PS you almost have to tint the tails and headlight with that kit on black to complete the batmobile look

well its not wether the parts are worth 1500... we know they are... its if the car should still be overpriced... which it is... i paid sticker for my ride in august... (it was newer then obviously)... and i had to travel to get it... (locals wanted 2-5k over sticker).... I dont see how 8 months later they can still ream you like that... did you check a variety of dealers?

I'd love to get the bluebat overlays and eyelids but I'm absolutely horrible at that type of install... I couldn't even handle installing an invisible shield on my lg voyager phone.. and its the same basic concept except on a much smaller scale

Hmm sounds like you got nothing to complain about man.

Getting a car for $1500 over invoice isn't exactly unheard of. You can even say it's common practice among dealerships. And you got a Stillen kit... Installed and painted.

Relax, don't call them every hour, and enjoy your free stuff.

Its not the price i'm complaining about. Its the month it took to get the damn thing installed! Oh, and if they didn't give me the side skirts, they would have a lawsuit on their hands.

Anyways.... off to get my windows tinted

I actually didn't clean the car myself before the photos were taken. It was given a bath at the dealership. Personally, I have always used Meguiar's product line.

I don't see why the dealership wouldn't purchase/install the kit for you. I just happened to luck out with the price!

You must be that customer that everyone hates. Having worked in retail as well as customer service, I hate you

J/k but seriously, good deal with the kit.

Also having worked in retail myself I completely know what you are talking about. However, its hard to draw a fair comparison between a failure to install $375 side skirts with lets say - oh I don't know... a cashier forgetting to bag that kick *** G.I. Joe action figure I really wanted...

In my view, I am the customer who has a legally binding contract that says the Nissan must supply me with a Stillen front fascia, trunk spoiler, roof spoiler, AND side skirts.

Didn't the sideskirts just come out? Eitherway - the dealeri is willing to make the adjustment - so it still sounds like a great deal for you. You didn't mention the specific price - How did your price compare to sticker (not invoice)?

Sounds like the biggest thing here is the inconvenience - but you do have to allow that the dealer is going above and beyond (depending on the actual price of the car) - by throwing in the Stillen pieces.

From this point on I would try to calm down and lower the blood pressure a little. In the end you will have a hot car, at what seems a great price, already modified to look different than the majority of the ACs on the road. You shoulld feel good about that.

Also - you should base your actions on whether or not you intend to develop a relationship with this dealer - in a sense your car could be a promo car - as such you may have some leverage with the dealer in the future.

Good Luck.
