So i bought my car with brand new function and form type 2.5 coilovers. No matter what i do i feel every bump in the road. The car isnt slammed. it rides good on smooth roads and interstates. but out in the country or city streets this car gives me a beating. I've got them set all the way on negative witch i think is soft and it does a lil better. and one more thing. sometimes when i hit a bump just right the car feels like it wants to spring up in the air.lol. whats that all about?

Double check your spring preload.
But with spring rates almost double or more over stock, you won't get a comfy stock ride on coilovers.
Especially with cheap coilovers like Function & Form.

Let me explain. No no, there is too much, let me sum up.

Razi bout said it all. Sport coilovers aren't going to ride like a caddy, no matter what you do. There is just too little travel to work with when you lower the car, and thats what everyone does. I also wouldn't be surprised if your dampers are worn, or blown out completely either. Many of the cheaper coils are nearly junk right out of the box.

guys these coils dont have a scratch on them and the box was still in the trunk. the kid was riding around with stock wheels and had it slammed. i raised it up and havent raised the springs hardly at all. but i extended the over all houseing. these shocks cost $1,250 with eibach springs. i thought this was pretty good for starter coils. I still have the tags and paper work to send them back in

Is this your first car with coilovers? Some cars aren't so bad, but for the S chassis its a pretty simple equation. People only seem to want to do one thing with them, get low. These cars are not graced with a great deal of suspension travel from the factory, due eto the low hood line. Every coil on the market only makes this worse by shortening the damper body to allow for more lowering. Most manufacturers then greatly increase spring rates to keep from bottoming. You get flat handling, but poor ride, poor traction, and poor stability over rough roads. Compounding this is the fact that most of the coils on the market are woefully under damped for the spring load. They also lack helper springs to give any sort of droop travel which worsens ride further, and decreases traction.

$1250 is on the very low side for a set of coils. A set of 50mm DMS coils can run you upwards of $6000.

Function & Form coils are sub $1k coils, the Eibach springs won't cover up the fact that the dampers are cheap.
Return them if you can.
If you want a comfortable ride, swap to stock.
