car looks good man, hope you get it back on the road shortly. i really want to pick up another S14, and leave teh KA in it. i really want to get a feel for RWD with less power. i was contemplating getting a NA miata to auto X, but michigan winters really turn me off from that idea. as it would be my DD/winter car.

anyhow, car looks great, i bet you cant wait to get back into the saddle. i know i cant.

Thanks for the reply bud. $50 is a great deal I'll have to shop locally I guess! What I've got priced out on anplumbing.com so far is at least $250 if not more. Did you just take them measurements or what? Looks good & thanks for the info.

a few small updates...found out the water pump was damaged in the wreck, luckily enough nismoparts.com had one in stock and even overnighted it was cheaper than courtesy, cant beat that.

the dump for the wg is routed back into the exhaust, a 15" flex section is bolted (not welded) so i can remove and have vented wg at will.

i'll try to get some pictures of the downpipe mounted tommorow, kinda hard to get good pics of that much less take them at night.

Thank you for the DP pics!!! I was really interested to see what you'd do for it. Did you build the DP yourself, or did you take the car somewhere?

Looks awsome!! Love the black finish on everything. Wish I had the $$ and time to have all my stuff coated up like that. Are you going to paint your FMIC black too?

mellow88 - i fabbed up all the piping including the downpipe; bit of time with a chopsaw and a welder is all you need.

imissmyturbo - dont be fooled man, the pipes are rattle can'ed...valve covers were powedercoated but the shop did it hella cheap 40$ for both covers and the timing covers. the manifold was ceramic coated tho (along with the turbine housing, boo rust) that was about 220$ hope it holds up. ive been debating wether to spray the ic black or not...for now its staying natural.

240wootie - dead green car, i miss the old girl.

So clean with the black on black, on black! Loving the format of the engine bay. I need to make mine look pretty with a decent set-up.

Dumb question... Did you fab this up with the motor in or out of your ride? Sry if I missed it but do you have any pics from underneath of the steering column area with this DP installed?

Car looks great dude I bet you're stoked =]

all pipe work was fabbed with the motor in the car and bolted in...its very hard to do stuff like this with the motor out of the car; easier but harder unless you have a jig of sorts.i dont have any pics of the steering column but clearance is tight with about 1/2" between the dump for the turbo and the steering shaft.i would be more stoked if the car ran...drove it 200mi to school and it was flawless, parked it over night and it lost cyl 4 for no apparent reason.pulled the injectors out and gonna have them cleaned, i suspect they are stuck open or leaking.

Always looking damn good Carl. To bad I didn't see this thread before I talked to you hahaha. Glad to see everything is coming out perfectly for you.

Soon I'll take time to make my engine bay pretty.

Carl I had a few more questions for ya since I'm buying my stuff asap-

Did you use all mild steel for your DP, or ss304? I've heard the mild steel doesn't tolerate the heat and will crack quickly, any truth in that?

Did you retap the WG to NPT? I'm having a hard time finding BSP elbows and nipples.

On the oil drain what size hose and fittings are you using? Looks like you re-used the stock 3/4 bsp block fitting?

Hey Carl, did you do all the ceramic coating yourself or did you bring it to a shop to have it done for you? And how much did it cost? I'm looking to do the same thing this winter.

No you dont have to use a different x member. I used my stock one and when i was making my mounts and welding them to my x member i just notched it out and weld in some metal to beef it up so my 60-1 would fit. works fine for me.
