I watched this vid on the news this morning... who lets go of a stroller at a train station w/o the brakes put on it ?You can see that it was left on a slope too, so why the hell did she let go with it pointing towards the tracks? Dumb lady for sure...I feel bad for her.

It wasn't her time to go. I still don't understand why I person would let a carriage's wheels point perpendicular to the tram instead of being parallel .

HOLY SHAT woooooow, im glad that baby didnt die thats just bad luck right there, cause s*** definetly happens in life.

edit on another note while it was an accident datte has a point. If the train is coming into the station, why would you not have your hands holding the stroller??? Not to say anything could happen if you dont hold it, but id feel alot more safer knowing im holding my child when something as dangerous as a train is coming.

Definitely amazing.

However, that kid will probably grow up to be some genocidal fascist dictator, and then we'll all be wishing the train had smashed his guts all over the track.

All I can say is thank God that baby lived and the mother needs to be b****-slapped. How dare she not set the brake on that stroller!

You see the clip of the paramedics carting mom+baby away on the stretcher?

Yeah, she looked dumb as rocks.

Why the hell did the mom need a stretcher anyway?

Well, she can't be trusted carrying her baby.

Hang the stroller brakes. What kind of moron builds a train platform that slopes DOWN toward the tracks!? Haven't they heard of bubble levels in the Australia? Stroller brakes should never have been an issue in the first place. Sure, mom's a moron. But if the train platform wasn't designed by Captain Retard maybe mom's moronity wouldn't have been so dangerous.

Why not just coat the platform in butter and give everyone roller blades?

Probably sloped for drainage. Hell, the platform here in New Carrollton does the same thing. There are signs everywhere reminding people to have hold of their luggage at all times.

Drains freeze up in winter. Besides, the slope is very slight. To tell you the truth, a stroller doesn't belong on a train platform period. Any time I have ever seen one there, it was collapsed and the baby was in mom's arms. And I used to travel alot on the train.
