I'm trying to install fog lights on my 2007 Sentra but am not sure how to get the wiring into the interior. Does anyone have some ideas or have done this before? My friend and I tried to take out the intake but the bucket won't budge. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd think you'd have connectors in your harness for fogs. Usually that's an option that dealers can install, which would imply that the stock harness for all Sentras would have connectors.

As for the intake, you mean the "bucket" in the fenderwell? Make sure all the connections up top are unhooked.

It's also a good idea to take a look at the FSM for these sorts of things.

Hey nametakennow, I ordered the same fogs w/ the 7 colored LED halos. I got them installed. Here are some pics on my cardomain page. http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3136491

Now the last part is trying to get the wires to hook up to the 3 button switch (which came w/ the kit) from the interior so I can control the lights from inside the car. I believe behind the intake bucket, is a hole with wires leading into the driver side's right behind/under the dash.

I was looking all over the FSM manual but it just wasn't clear to me on how to remove the intake bucker off.

Here is a picture of that "bucket" I mean.

When my friend and I took the bumper off to do the drilling, I did see that there the car is pre-wired for fog lights. If I had known, I would have gone w/ the OEM replicas..... Would have been a much easier install.....

There ought to be an easier place to run those wires through.

I'd start by popping the two halves of that bucket loose. It looks like there's some clips there in the middle. It should give you a better view of it and maybe provide some direction as to how to get it out of the way.

Nametakennow is correct - if you take the top of the bucket off it will definitely be easier but of course I did it the hard way

Follow link below and see if it makes sense to you. If you have any trouble let me know.

Thanks so much for the pics Faja! They really help. I'll see if I can reach and get the wires through the firewall. And I'll also try taking the top of the bucket off like nametakennow says if possible.

Faja, your fogs look a little different from mine. Did you get yours from Blinglights? Your switch is neater than mine. Mine looks so cheap. haha

Also I like how you put the rubber cap to fill in the gap. Did you get that from an auto store or did it come with your kit?

Hi G, yes got fogs from Blinglights. Switch I got with the set was just a rectangular switch but bought this round one from electrical shop for $3.50 as I thought it suited the shape of the interior better - all the other dials and switches are round also. The caps are rubber pipe caps from HomeDepot that happen to fit the lights perfectly so that worked out well filling in the gaps while giving it a more flush fit and also offer some moisture protection - they were about $5 a piece.

I'm not sure if the wires are soldered on to your switch or not but I would cut the switch off, tape up the wires together so you'll be able to send them thru the firewall easier, then you could put some connectors on the ends and add your own switch

Hey Faja, thanks for your help and the pics but I can't reach the firewall with the airbucket in the way. My arm just doesn't reach far enough. Did you use a tool to jam it into the firewall grommet without damaging the other wires? If so, what kind of tool did you use? Thanks.

Tape up a wire hanger with electrical tape so the end has no rough edges and poke it and try to feel your way thru to the other side slowly, very slowly . If you think you've made it, check under dash where I told you to make a small cut and see if you can see the end of the hanger. If successful, pull it back out and then tape up your wires to the hanger and do it again as the first time would have made a slightly bigger opening. I also saw some wires to the right side of the bucket but didn't trace them to see where they go, maybe you could try following those and see where they end up in the interior of the car as they are more accessible.

yep it did.... so you saw the pics on mycardomain page huh?

I didn't wire them yet since one lamp cracked so just waiting to hear back from FogLightKing to see if we can work out a better replacement deal which most likely won't happen. Can't believe that within 5 days of install it already got a crack.... They keep praising they have the best quality.... quality my @$$..... Not sure if I want to spend another $30 for a single lamp which might crack in another 5 days..... sigh.... should have went w/ BlingLights like you.

Hello again G, just an FYI. You said you just screwed the lamp assemblies directly to the plastic extensions on the back of the bumper - the way they are designed is for that plastic extension to hold a fog light bracket and then you insert your lamp assembly into the bracket. The OEM fog light assemblies fit into the brackets perfectly with no issues but if you use aftermarket ones then you have to do some modifications to make them fit properly but by using these additional brackets you will have some more room to play with and the foglights can be recessed further into the bumper and that way they won't stick out as much. You still have to do a little bit of modification again to screw and align the lights to your new bracket but they will look 100% better. You can either glue the bracket to the plastic extension but I just used 3 small tapping screws so I can remove easily if need be and then you can attach a slightly bigger screw to adjust the alignment if necessary by pressing it against the assembly. The brackets can be purchased at "courtesynissan" (you can check for local parts shop or dealership), they are about $14 each (you'll need left and right side) and the part #'s are 26150J & 26150JA. Alright, so I'm not good at getting the wiring in.... I'm going to give this another try this weekend with my WRX buddy. He said we'll probably have to take out the battery in order to get the air bucket out, then we will have room to make it into the firewire. I'll keep you guys posted on the outcome.

So I went to this place called Luxury Details and although I had called ahead, they were detailing a Lamborghini, a Mercedes SLK, and a Nismo 350Z were all hanging out. One of the guys came to be and said he could drill a hole and wire it up for $20 - 30. I really didn't want to drill so I told the guy I'll be back later the week but figured to ask my WRX buddy for some help. He is so awesome! We were able to get the fog lights to work without drilling a hole. It actually wasn't hard after. We first removed the battery so we could access that air bucket but even though the battery came loose, the battery plate was connected to the air intake so that's not budging..... We ended up going from inside out. We went to the firewall's grommet, pushed it off to the side a bit and put in the wirehanger thought, fished the wires and pull it in. Took 2 tries but finally got the wires through! The wires had to be cut and re-attached with connectors and electrical tape for the angel eyes (as the wires were so thin).

The result, looks just like NicholaiGinovaef's post.

Anyways, what's weird is that the angel eyes need cycle through 35 seconds and flash like crazy before you can use them. I wonder if anyone else experiences this problem or if this is how they just are?

Anyways here are the pics:

hmm, I just realized, the auction says I should have 7 colors but I seem to only have 3. NicholaiGinovaef's post shows a yellow and a green....... My colors are only blue/green, teal, and red...... Also, my driver side fog light cracked within 5 days of install. They weren't even wired up yet.... quality my @$$.... They also have a cheap look if you look up close during the day. Overall I'm disappointed in my purchase from Foglightking..... but glad that the install is complete.

Well, abcnissanparts offers the best prices for accessories and OEM parts. This thread has listed most of the aftermarket parts including performance parts: zerothread/300259

I have not installed any performance parts yet as I plan to wait till my warranty is up which is coming soon..... When I do, I plan to do the Weapon R Intake + Stillen Exhaust.
