^^ very true, but you must also concentrate on your line. I would say that is the most important rule above all, you can be as hard on the car as you want, but if you arent taking the proper line you will be under steering and oversteering all over the place. It will feel like you are going much faster than you really are, and you will wonder why you did so bad when it feels like you pushed the car as hard as it will go. You need to know when to brake, too early will slow you down, too late will put you into danger, you must also know when to accelerate, to late will slow you down, to early will cause understeer/oversteer, depending on how you entered the turn. Heel-Toe is also a very important tactic that you will find increasingly necessary. but that's just my 2 cents.matt_2036 wrote:People will tell you to be smooth, but int he Z it is not your best bet. Leave it in 2nd! Drive as hard as you can until you have to brake! Then brake as hard as you can and then drive the gas down as long as you can and repeat until you are done with your lap. Be as aggressive as you can with out spinning out!!!!
thanks,matt_2036 wrote:1.5 degree front and a tad over 2 in the rear. My car is a dedicated race car though, so street longevitly is of no concern. I have cusco control arms in the rear and central 20 in the front.
did you know i can rev match downshift with one hand lol so no need for heal toe for me and ldstang50 ill post the list for you later i will be going sometime after july 23.redsx13 wrote:

ooooo, i see how it is. Well that makes it much easier then, i am honestly a little faster in an automatic (in tiptronic mode), less to worry about.R350Zz33 wrote: did you know i can rev match downshift with one hand lol so no need for heal toe for me and ldstang50 ill post the list for you later i will be going sometime after july 23.
Yeah i still drive my car to and from autox, and track events. I ace in the street tire class here in SC. I am running the dunlop startechs right now and love them!!!redsx13 wrote:
thanks,
o, and just lettin you know, alot of people with heavy autox cars like the 350 like to run more camber in the front than the rear. Try switching your #'s and who knows, it just might give you some better times. Otherwise your setup is good for street tires.
Well he just assumed that you would be driving a stick if you are autoxing. You will not be conpetative in any regional areas in the states with and auto!!! Plus every one who sees your car at a race will ask them selves..."why did he bring an automatic to an autox"......R350Zz33 wrote: did you know i can rev match downshift with one hand lol so no need for heal toe for me and ldstang50 ill post the list for you later i will be going sometime after july 23.
I suspect you're gonna find out after your first time out, how little you know. I would also strongly recommend you spend time with an instructor. I'm not volunteering.R350Zz33 wrote:auto technology has come a long way and every one thinks my car is slow then they get beat by the auto z and all of a sudden i only one because its automatic. stories sure do change quickly.
It sure is like that with everywon huh? I meen everytime you one and they to........Great point jackass.R350Zz33 wrote:auto technology has come a long way and every one thinks my car is slow then they get beat by the auto z and all of a sudden i only one because its automatic. stories sure do change quickly.
Matt, He's actually correct to a point. Modern technology has " idiot" proofed cars in some ways to enable ...id...inexperienced kids like Richie in automatic trannied cars to do better...at least initially. As I said once he tries it, he might hopefully begin to realize he has lots to learn...nahhhhhh.matt_2036 wrote:It sure is like that with everywon huh? honestly, you don't have try to defend you car, you and i both know that the Auto Trans on the new 350Z is f***ing insane.....just let people keep thinking autos are slow.... and then kill them on the track!R350Zz33 wrote:the auto transmission in the current 350z has over 200 different patents on it. they are alot stronger and quicker then every one thinks and i have herd with the valve body upgrade , and a few minor upgrades to an hr motor intake full exhaust ect when you get around 318whp you can cheep 2 and 3rd gear in an auto.

Start a new thread... i spent too long editing (deleting CRAP) from this one...Rare_f8 wrote:Here's a question for you Richie... why would someone want long tube headers especially for their NA car?
Ryan, since you quoted my text. I was inviting Richie to do his own research, and recognize what would be supporting mods for his purpose.rmezz13 wrote:

As for everyone else, if you are going to comment, make sure it contributes to the argument at hand because "personal" opinions of one another are ingredients for a BAN.... i'm not joking around either, i shouldn't have to say this gentleMEN
With all due respect mezz, why is Richie still in this forum. Most of his 1800 posts are mostly useless and irrelevant. Many of the regulars on this forum flame on richie because this kid always comes up with misleading information and posts that cry for flamage. I might get banned for posting this, but moderators have to see that a lot of threads that start off good end up being off-topic arguments once richie shares his "opinions". If you want to keep the forums clean, put that kid on check. Giving him 0% user rating will not do anything.rmezz13 wrote:

that part was intended for all, take no offense...Rare_f8 wrote:

Personal opinion... hardly.
I cannot ban... plus idiocy is not grounds for ban - just what i've been told and my opinion on it doesn't matter. SOP's are SOP's I like his posting as much of the next guy...xjmxstac wrote:With all due respect mezz, why is Richie still in this forum. Most of his 1800 posts are mostly useless and irrelevant.
