Hey everyone. Just bought a new 2008 G35x. Had for a little while now. Been reading the forums for a week or so. I just installed the Stillen HiFlow intake today. Everything went smooth...until I tried to roll up the window. It 'auto' goes down, but not up. Have to hold it to make it go up. I did everything carefully. Im unsure of the problem. Has anyone else encountered this? Any ideas of a solution would be greatly appreciated as well. Thanks!

Ok. I looked in the FAQ, the only fix I found was for when the window is off the track. What I meant was that you need to hold the window switch in the 'up' position. It doesn't go up with just a flick like it use to. I'm sorry if I'm just blind and couldn't find it. I will post pics as soon as I get all settled in. I just moved. On my fiance's laptop. Pics are on my desktop.

Guess it was a diff. fix in the FAQ

still, a general search and i came up with this

zerothread?id=251832

try doing the reset procedure here, i think it should help

Is it just one window, or all windows?

It did the auto up before and suddenly stopped??

The door panel is simple to take off, just the two plastic clips at the front of the door, one screw by the door release handle, and two behind the plastic trim piece that you pull the door closed with. That plastic piece just pops off from the bottom. The rest is just pop clips around the door edge. Took me about 3 minutes to take off for the first time. Probably a minute if I did it again. The reset switch sits behind a small black sticker about the size of a nickel right in the middle of the door. Here's the procedure direct from Alldata.

ResettingAfter installing each component to the vehicle follow the steps below.

1. Raise the glass to the top dead center. 2. While pressing and holding the reset switch lower the glass to the bottom dead center. 3. Release the reset switch and check the reset switch returns to the original position and then raise the glass to the top dead center.

CAUTION: Do not operate the glass automatically to raise the glass to the top dead center.

THanks. I will try that today. It is all of them. It worked before I installed the intake. After I installed it the auto up quit working, the auto down still works however...all windows.

Try first just hold the swtitch down for 5 seconds and then hold it for the up position till it rolls up the windows and hold it for a few seconds.

If it works go to the next do the same.

I did with my friends G and it worked good on his car.

That has got to be pure coincidence

Please let us know what you tried and what did work.

07+ do this if you disconect the battery. Not all the time but it happenes. YThey made the fix easier no need to reset it behind the door cover. All you have to do is roll it down and hold it then roll it up and hold it for more then 3 seconds.

I guess Infiniti realized it if they have to pay for all these resets it could cost tooo much so they've found an easier solution.

Each window has a motor, thus, if all are not functional then the problem is not a motor. Go through your fuse box and make sure nothing is blown. As with the other thread you will then need to start troubleshooting with a multimeter at the switch in the drivers door and work your way through the wiring until you find the problem.
