Auto dimming mirror

Hey everyone. I just purchased a 2010 Rogue SL for my wife with the premium package. I did not realize that it did not come with an dimming rear view mirror. I find it weird that the 360 and the leather package do but no the premium package. Anyway I just want an auto dimming mirror, no homelink no compass and no temp. I see that gentex makes one but the Rogue is not listed on their fit guide. It mention an adapter but there is no real info about it on the site.

Does anyone know if it will work on the Rogue? Also is there any wiring required for the basis auto dimming mirror?

A few members have swapped their rearview mirror's for OEM one's with the auto-dimming and compass. I cannot remember if they used Gentek or OEM Nissan. The auto dim mirror does require 12V power for it's operation. Read more in this thread here:

I installed an auto dimming mirror from and 09 altima coupe with homelink etc, but that's the easiest and most direct swap.

OK, thread is fixed.

Gentex supplies the Nissan OEM mirrors. They should be compatible.

Read mstrmstr's posts... he explains how the Gentex mirror can be swapped into a Rogue:

Folks, Gentex mirrors fit just fine using a Gentex base. You need to remove the mirror and not the original base - install the gentex and run wires.

It kinda sucks that they package the auto-dimming mirror in with the leather package. In any event, the Nissan homelink/autodimming/compass mirror kit for the 08-10 Altima will work nicely in the Rogue and you can get it for a much lower price than the auto-dimming only mirror. I got it for $151.20 at "mynissanparts.com"

Yes, that is the part # listed for the '07+ Altima Homelink & Compass rearview mirror. According to member Igg, it's the amber display version:

Hi Keith... personally (although I could live with green) I decided to hold out for an amber display so it would match the rest of the interior lighting. If you haven't already done so there are plenty on eBay if you shop around. Just make sure the seller has a good feedback rating. I (and other Nicoclub members) have purchased from these two sellers. Both of these sellers have amber displays. You can find them even cheaper from other sellers, just make sure the mirror includes the wire harness.

I finally installed the homelink mirror. It was super easy. The hardest part was trying to snake the wire. All in all took me an hour from soup to nuts, that includes programming the garage door. I just want to thank everyone for the help and info.
