Wow, good info! I think it's tough for some guys to understand that while pioneer makes some products that are top notch, they aren't necessarily the best. I've been around the car audio mess for some 10 plus years and have seen the various brands go up and down in performance and prestige. To fully grasp the overall value of any component, you've really gotta be able to take a step back, leave your bias on the table, and look at what has consistantly performed at the top level. If you're just looking for the brand that is socially acceptable everywhere, then pioneer is a good bet. I don't hear anybody yelling that pioneer sucks... but there ARE better performing brands, such as the famed *Denon* and high end Eclipse units.

for the buck you can't beat Arc Audio. i have their component speakers in the fronts and they sound great!. its a small company trying to make a name for itself. before i purchase my system i did weeks worth of research...making sure i was getting the best for the buck. but if money is not the issue for you than you should get a pair of Focals Utopia. and my final advise to you is Ebay.com.

ARC has already made a name for themselves:) Over the past few years they have proven to be some of the best SQ amps out there, aside from amps costing twice as much like Brax, Helix, Genesis, etc.... Most of the Image Dynamics demo cars are runnning ARC amps, and for good reason.

Oh yeah, and good choice on the KAR series. Im glad to see that ARC is coming out with some affordable entry level amps.
