Now thats cool lookiniPencil wrote:I was looking at my headlights last evening, trying to decide if there is a way to stick a strip along the topside to have something look like this.
Thanks for the extra info. Based on that I'm going to do it your way and just hook into the parking lights.duceynash wrote:These lights aren't that noticeable in the daytime, so I would just run them off of the parking lights. You can leave it on the auto setting, thats what I do.
So is that the same LED strip? It looks like you went for it, but your comment makes it seems this was a test or something. What did you decide?iPencil wrote:I was looking at my headlights last evening, trying to decide if there is a way to stick a strip along the topside to have something look like this...
Those pics aren't my car. They are pics from a Japanese forum.John2 wrote:

It just says that it is a DIY project, taking about 30 minutes. They used flexible LED tubes and used the tape that came with the tubes to attach it to the car. It is hooked up to headlights so it will go on and off when they are on or off, and also installed a switch inside the cabin to turn it off whenever they want. The LED tube is installed between the the pillars of the bumper(??) and the headlights.John2 wrote:

It is a good look, though. Once my LED light strips arrive I'll be able to visualize what's possible better with the real thing.
Use red and green LEDs and kill two birds with one stone. Merry Christmas!EniGmA1987 wrote:wow that looks pretty awesome. I think I am going to add a couple strips of the LEDs to my car after Christmas
Thanks for the translation, and the pics. Those little spotlights on the edge of the front bumper spoiler are pretty unique.bredtime wrote:

I typed this up myself taking what I could see from the car owner's pictures and finished description, so improvise if something is not exactly right! P.S. Pictures are also from car owner, not taken by me.paigoomein wrote:wow, that headlight mod with the strip on the top rim of the lights looks amazing. definitely something to look into. if anyone has done this and knows where to order the lights and how to get it installed as a DIY, please post!

I don't think I've ever heard of LED tubes before (neon tubes but not LED tubes).paigoomein wrote:Is there a difference between LED tubes and LED strips? some seem to have the distinct lights, and the other seems to be a continuous strip of light.
