Any plans for ECU for F50?

Oops, never mind. Just noticed P2 of this thread.

Looks like F50 is a no go.

I just wanted to mention that I finally got to install my ECU that Robert programmed for me a few months ago. I know... slack.

Anyhow, it works great! One annoyance with both of my Qs is that the target idle (I think it's called curb idle in the FSM) that the ECU uses is something like 550 or 600. So in the summertime, sitting in D but not moving in traffic, with the A/C on - there has always been some vibration. Even if you set the Base idle up with the IAC valve, the ECU is still targeting it's program. Except for mine!

We gave it a new target of 700RPM in the "Stage II" program. I drove it today, and it really works nice. Since Robert has already written that program, other members may be able to request it in the future.

I ran my ecu the other day and was pretty impressed. I'ts different from the jwt. Pulls hard in a different way. For me it was more power through more of the rpm band. If you understand that. I like it. But since I'm runnung the jwt nos module I think my jwt will do. Anyways I want to sell it . I've got it in the classifieds if anyone is interested. At first I thought maybe I would piggy back the two but seems more work for the effort.

Wes, I think I will be at the tuner show.(mommy said it was ok!) When are you coming in to town?Stop in at the shop!

Hey Wes, What do I have to do to get on the waiting list for an ECU upgrade?

Thanks. Rich

There is no waiting list, I will announce when they are available (looking to be a while at this point).

Will you guys send the .bin files for the programs so we can program our own EPROMs? How about just the "rough" boost setting you said you had? That would at least give me a head start. If so, how much would you want just for the files?

I have been doing my own research on programming my own EPROMs (per your recommendation Wes) and am picking up the hardware to do it. I've got a pretty good handle on it but it would sure save a lot of time to have a rough map setup to start tuning from.

Also on a different angle, would you (Wes) and Robert be interested in me modding some ECU's with you for the NICO guys? Robert seems to be too busy to take care of all the requests. I will be doing some of this anyway and I will be willing to help out of you are intersted.

In case you don't already know, I've been in electronics for years so the pulling the chips and installing the sockets is no big deal. I also do similar logic programming for many industrial control panels I build.

Let me know on both questions. E-Mail me if you prefer to keep this private.

Just wanted to bump this, why not give him a chance to meet the demand? Robert has provided a great service but is selling his Q and will probably be busy with his new car.

Not just any G50's.

90-95 only, 96 got the OBDII which will not work.
