Might get more interest if what the unit actually did (performance enhancements?) is described in greater detail. Quicker response times? Different and better bump and rebound response mappings? Etc.

From all I could tell on the website, the main difference is that it can make the Q45 into a pretty mean Yakuza snow plow.

Don't know how much appeal that has for real world driving.

Just a thought.

If it's for the 2002-2004 q45 owners I'll be interested.

Welcome lamar. As for the GB its for early Q with the superfast actuatorsd to control sqquat, dive and lean.

The model was called the Q45a , as in "active" ,very similiar to the active systems employed by MB on 2000+ S and CL cars.

Have you confirmed the unit will work properly with the Infiniti active suspension system?

You know, that is a good question, because as I recall the car illustrated on the website was a Y33 which never was available with the active as far as I am aware (and I am not expert on JDM variations).

Does the factory guarantee interoperability with the G50 Q45a?__________________Brian1995 Q45 & Q45t & 2000 Q45

I'm not "selling" anything

Once again, I just found an innovative product, and thought I would tell the Q community about it.

I don't have my car yet (arriving via truck Mid may)

This will probably be my first purchase..

Just so you guys know, we don't need to get 5, to get the group buy discount. I arranged the group buy discount, for individual orders..

I don't mind doing the test run on this bad boy.. If it sucks, I'll let you guys know, so you don't have to order worthless junk..

Just to avoid confusion, I am DKill BTW..

Since there is some interest in the unit, I will go ahead and make it my first priority. I have read some reviews of it installed on Lexus (with air suspension) and those guys seem to really like it. I'm hoping it works out well for our cars..

I'll post any results I have in this thread.

I plan on it. But like I said... A little bit latter maybe early summer, late spring. Very interested in hearing about the results if someone does this soon.

Don't worry..

I will be ranting my arse off, if this product sucks..

I am a little disappointed I can't somehow mount it on the interior..

why?

It has a REAL SEXY display, which shows height at each wheel.. It would look drop dead grogeous mounted in the interior somehow.. Even in the current bose head unit location

It looks like it has to be mounted in the trunk though...

Just to let you know, I am 100% in on buying a unit so long as it's possible to get an English manual for it... though it looks like it is. I've read lots about the slightly older model and have heard it is highly recommended. Feel free to send me an e-mail and/or pm me.

Though I live in Canada I have a shipping address in Nevada which I could use.

Corey,

Mind discussing what you have heard about the older model?? was it specific to the active suspension, or was it someone using it on the lexus air suspension?

English manual, no problem.

I've already confirmed, we can get that.

I'm glad to see some demand is picking up for this bad boy..

I'm really excited to pick it up.

It doesn't matter now, anyway, since I can get the group unit price, for individual units. Although it would be cool to order them all at once anyway, since the shop was willing to do that for me.

As far as I know, the ASE664 I believe, is adaptable between air suspension and active suspension. The ASE664 was more simplistic than the model offered here. From what I know, most people in Japan use it to lower and raise their cars on command, they don't use it to help improve ride quality. It does however add some safety for the average user as it can lower your car as you pick up speed, thereby increasing stability. As far as I understand, the ASE664 could lower your car 5cm and raise it 2cm. That is quite a substantial amount.

In any case, I've been looking at buying the 664 as it has been the newest model I've heard of Japan having. This was a great find DKill, not to mention it's a great deal. Thanks.

Corey,

That makes sense.. They hype the SUPER LOW mode function, more then anything...

I think the 664 is discontinued in Japan

Here is the page from datasystems website, on it

http://babelfish.altavista.com....html

YOU SOLD ENDED, means I think no longer for sale.. sometime the translations dont quite end up well.. I dunno, maybe it means no longer for sale, or no sale offered, or something...

All the older models are equiped with this..

I'm not sure if the ASC680 has auto speed adjustments.. It has pre select "sport" settings, however... It is their newest product, and they claim it's the best yet.. I guess we should give it a go?

Their american site really sucks.. A. they dont keep the newest products on it. B. they dont have contact available, so it's basically worthless..

I love the lcd display on the asc680.. I wish there was someway of running cable from the active suspension controller in the trunk, to the dash area. I want to mount this thing where the bose head unit is..

Corey,

I think the adjustments are the same for the asc680 as well

this is whats on the features portion of the site

Active suspension carUP2 step - Normal - DOWN5 step+ Hyper LOW

Sounds exactly the same as what you mentioned instead of step, it should be CM.

It has a digital speeo function, which would be GREAT in the interior.. it has some neet tems air suspension stuff, like valvle monitoring.. too bad we dont' get this.. oh well..

I demand a way to mount this thing in the dash.

Hrrmm, I can't find any info on how long the stock wires are. I did however find a remote to let you quickly change from one height setting to another at the push of a button...http://image.www.rakuten.co.jp....jpegNot nearly as nice as having the unit mounted in your dash, glove compartment or armrest, I know. It should only be around $25 however.

On another note, it appears the ASC680 has an even more substantial height adjustment system. Unless my eyes deceive me, I'm reading +40mm -95mm. This seams unrealistic however, and I'm sure is just a mistake they made when copying and pasting. As I've only heard of air suspension being that adjustable. Click here to see the website which I'm referring to.

Ah, yes this website. I remember it back when I was scouring google for this stuff..

Regarding the remote: that is listed as an option at datasystems website for the older model, but NOT listed as an option for the asc680..

It seems they got rid of the remote, and also the speed auto lowering function...

Perhaps the remote can still be used.. i wonder why they got rid rid of the speed function, I assume their is a reason..

time to check out that site you linked..

thanks

Hmm, I see what you're saying...

*+40‡o - -95‡o

I thought the step was a bad translation for CM, since the numbers matched up.. but perhaps step just means "setting" like 2 settings up and 5 down, but the height is not 2 cm up 5 cm down. I'm going to email the site i rigged the group buy through, to see if they can contact datasystem, and provide more insight.

Thanks again.

That is somewhat saddening that they no longer have the speed adjustment function or the remote...

In the Japanese (non-translated) version of the page I linked you to, it uses characters that look like "mm". Which may or not stand for millimeters. My assumption is that it would, though being able to lower the car 95mm seams quite extreme.

Hopefully that company will get back to you before too long. Thanks again.

Here is what I asked. I will post the reply, when I get it.

. They have a remote for their older product, Ibelieve it the ASE66x (here is a pic,http://image.www.rakuten.co.jp....jpeg)Any idea if this is compatible with the asc680.

2. Any idea if it's possible to get longer wires. Theactive suspension computer is located in the trunk, and we would really prefer to mount this thing in theinterior somehow (because its really sexy)

3. On a site, I saw the adjustment possibilities forthe active suspension, at this. +40mm -95mm. Can youconfirm this? If it is wrong, what are the ranges.

4. On the older units ASE66x, it was possible to autoadjust based on speed, has this function been deletedin the asc680?
