Welcome Rambuto!

Nice to see another Canuck... Kitchener is only a stone's throw from me.

Gee, maybe it's time to organize a Southern Ontario Rogue owners meet? It's been awhile for me... I used to run the local Nissan 240SX club 10 yrs ago. Two cars and many years later and I'm now the NICOClub Rogue Forum Moderator.

Hello Everyone,My wife and I just picked up our 2009 Rogue S AWD last night. As you can see its more for my wife than for me, but last night I couldnt get out of the driver seat to let her drive. We only got the hitch mounted from the dealer, I'm going to make a bike rack and also make a basket to be able to hold more storage. We are also going to be purchasing the hatch tent, just to see how it goes. My wife drives at the most 10-15 km a day, so there wont be too much use on it, however this september will be the first trip to Florida.I have been looking around the forum for the last couple of weeks, as i have been waiting for the car to come in, and there is allot of good help and tips on the site. I'm happy to join and can't wait to have some fun with the Rogue.

Hello everybody, I got my 2009 Rogue AWD S here in Vancouver British Columbia Canada last weekend. Its red and I got it for $500 above invoice plus additional discount of $4000 cash back july promo. I posted a thread with the details, if anybody is is Vancouver, I can hook you up with the dealership I got my Rogue from and the sales person (that way I can get a referral gift) and you can get the same discount as I did

Originally I was looking at Vibes, after adding Awd, and the 2.4 it was too much to pay for a small, low, on every corner car.....Been driving my new Rogue since 7/6/9......drove it for 3 weeks as a free rental with a signed purchase agreement tentative on the CARS program....Got a bonus $500 holiday rebate for taking it 4th of July weekend.....Finalized the deal Monday the 27th of July....According to the dealer, I was their first CARS app. to be sent in....don't have all the numbers in front of me....Iridium Graphite/Black cloth AWD SL Premium PKG. after all taxes, tabs, fees, rebates, cash for clunkers, everything "was" $20,500 out the door..........then I added: 100Mwarranty(I drive 20k yr)$1650 w/%100 money back if you don't make any claims (after factory warr runs out)...$650 for a max of 20 oil changes/rotates(every 3750 upto 75K)...$100 for a dealer discount book including free Saturday car washes (inside and out) for life(of the dealer)...that added another $2400 for a $22,900 Grand total financed with Zero down out of pocket(on paper it's $5515 down) 72 months @3.9% $358 month.........got it with 11 miles, it's just over 2k this morning.....finally getting used to the Tranny, but the ruff ride of the 17"s is getting more irritating..and the cheap tires don't help(dunlop st20) ...lot of bad ratings online....I'm already considering 16" rims and michelin tires.....(anybody that's done a good comparison of the 16 vs 17 ride Quality, please pm me on how drastic your results were)...plan on drivin the Rogue 5-7 yrs....Looking 4ward to a Minnesota winter test drive.....think I'll need those new tires before then....and a better subwoofer so I can feel the bass on my face

After following the forum for two months now, it's time to thank all participants and to jump in. I drive a 2009 Rogue, Gotham Gray. I love the car and have only one complaint so far: an intermittent rattle/buzz comes from where the A pillar and the dash meet under certain temperature and road surface conditions (I am glad others have responded to some great posts on "noises" unique to the Rogue). This forum is awesome and a welcome tool as a new owner.

My only vehicle additions are a cargo floormat and a 2" hitch from Curt Manufacturing. I intend to use the hitch only for my bicycle carrier, after deciding the lift-over for a roof rack puts too much faith in my step ladder and upper body strength--of the two, I'd trust the ladder before I'd trust my arms to keep the bikes from scratching my roof.

I live in Lake Elsinore, CA and we have hot summers and nice cool winters. The vehicle seems perfect for our climate and my recreational pursuits. Lastly, I admit I have become a slave to the car by washing it myself every weekend. I've never wanted to do that with any other car, but it's been a while since I've had a new ride (former Subaru Outback owner).

Hello everyone. Looking forward to learning everything there is to know about this car.

P.S. The avatar that I'm trying to upload is 125pX125p and 37k. Yet the system says it is too large. But it says that it accepts images below 35000 bytes which = 273k. I even went in and deleted all of my nicoclub cookies in my browser cache and it still gave me the error. Heck, I even tried using a different broswer all together and still the error... So I dont see the issue.

Congrats on your purchase.Yes the OEM tires are not the best, but you got the Dunlop which seems to be the least worse of the two.Check the FAQ about the all season tires, it seems the Yokohama AVID TRZ are the tires of choice of a lot of people (including me).As for 16" rims and michelin tires, I did that... for my winter tires with the X-Ice2. They are quieter than the crappy contis with a nice handling on snowy roads.

Hope this help,

35000/1024= about 34.1k.You should try to use a stronger compression jpg ratio for your avatar to get below the 34k threshold.

Hi, I'm Lauren and I bought a 2009 Rogue SL AWD in February. It's Carbon Silver with no additional options. I wasn't even considering the SL because it was a little too expensive, but the dealership was offering the SL AWD at the same price at the S FWD. It's been a pleasure to drive and most importantly, my dog loves it!

Glad you are enjoying your Rogue Lauren!

My dog loves riding in the Rogue too. She just doesn't like jumping up to the back seat!

She's beautiful! My guy hates jumping up too! It's a good thing he's only 50 lbs. As soon as he sees the dog bed, he knows that we are going to some sort of Bull Terrier gathering and gets excited.

Here he is with my Uncle's Whippet

Hi everyone.

Got my 2009 Rogue S AWD literally off the showroom floor two weeks ago. Love this vehicle. Got it in indigo blue. I was so tired of gray/silver/black/white. I actually was interested in getting it in venum red but the dealer didn't have one in stock but then I saw the indigo blue on their showroom floor. Love at first sight. Unfortunately it was the only one they had in that color. So they swapped it out with one they had in silver and sold it to me.

Paid 650 below invoice.

I had purchased my first Nissan ever, a bare bones Sentra, in late 2001. It was the most reliable car I have ever owned. Other than normal maintenance, the only problems I had were a couple of failed sensors and a thermostat. I am sold on Nissan's reliability.

It took about a day to get used to the CVT. Having seen a video on how it operates and being employed in the mechanical design/engineering field, a lot of the noises produced make sense when I hear them.

I expect I will get as many trouble free miles out of my Rogue as I did out of my Sentra.

Sunday August 2nd I traded in my Classic Clunker Lexus SC400 with a rebuilt title utilizing the CARS program.

I picked up a Phantom White SL AWD Premium Package and Moonroof. I have only put about 200 miles on her so far. Tonight after work I spent a few hours washing, claying and putting a couple of coats of Liquid Glass on. I will be participating in the mpg thread when I start fueling. I built a spreadsheet seveal years ago so I track mpg and cost on all my cars.

So far I am pleased with teh Rogue. I have never owned a Nissan or a SUV/CUV. I do like the upright seating, but still trying to get used to sitting so high up - my fun car is an S2000 so the differance is vast.

I just started browsing these forums after buying my Rogue in May 2009 I live near Houston in College Station, Texas. I work at Texas A&M University

2009 Rogue SL AWD fully loaded with all options and most accessories.

I have owned 3 Nissans ('94 Altima, 2001 Pathfinder, 2009 Rogue). I only bought the Rogue because my Pathfinder got totaled. I was really happy with my Pathy, but am now ecstatic about my Rogue. It's got just enough utility to be helpful and just enough power to be fun to drive. Nissan should be paying me a marketing fee because I've sang so many praises about this sporty little CUV.

Just found this forum today. Yesterday, we picked up our 2008 SL Rogue, which was rebuilt (slight damage to front), 30,000 mi., for the price of $11,000. The owners of the auto body shop are personal friends of ours and we have bought some of their repaired cars before. All have been great, so we are hoping that this will be true with the Rogue as well. So far we absolutely LOVE IT!!!! Our other car is our FUN CAR..........a 2002 Volkswagen New Beetle. Hence out tag of 1FUNBUG!!! Drove this one in a caravan of 25 New Beetles on Old Route 66, from Chicago to Roswell, New Mexico for show there. Hoping the Rogue will add more fun to our travel experiences. Great forum, great to be here. Incidentally, the age curve of forum members just went UP!!!!! Wife and I are both 69!!!

I have a 2008 Rouge that I purchased a year ago. It has 13000 miles and I have not had any problems with it. I am starting to do some work on it. The first thing I am going to do is debadge it. The Nissan emblems I want to take off and paint black and then reinstall them. The color is Red, and I am not a big fan of chrome. I am also going to be doing the upgrade on the front, using gutter guard to protect my radiator. I will post pictures as I finish my projects.

This site gives me a lot of ideas.

I just started browsing these forums after buying my Rogue in July, 2009. I live in the DFW metroplex in the great state of Texas!

2009 Rogue SL fully loaded with all options except for Sport package (paddle shifters and spoiler).

This is my first Nissan - my previous 2 cars were Jaguar S-Types (2001 & 2002). I LOVED them both immensely, however, maintenance on a Jaguar becomes quite expensive after you hit 100,000 miles. I must say this is obviously quite a change, going from a luxury sedan to a CUV. So far, I am enjoying the Rogue. I plan on making a few mods to it, which is the main reason I joined this site (and to see what others' experiences have been like with the Rogue). I currently have almost 2,500 miles on it and am getting approx. 25 miles to the tank with mixed highway and city driving.
