Hello everyone. Glad that there's a big following for the Rogue already. Just bought Iridium Graphite SL AWD. The only thing I didn't get was the leather option. Useless with kids in my opinion. Really want the spoiler and interested in any other customization.

Hey all!I'm Tasha a 20 year old from Texas.

I bought my Rogue in December of 08. It's a phantom white SL with the premium package and a spoiler. This is my first big purchase on my own. I have always been really big into cars so this has been a change for me. The bigger cars are much more comfortable to ride in.

I am a manager at a large internet sporting goods store and a full time student. I am a business major hoping to be a business analyist.

I dont plan on doing anything to my rogue because once you start you cannot stop. Hopefully I can learn a lot of new things and be a positive addition to this forum.

Welcome Scott..I'm a NYC leaser (2008 black, loaded, love it).

Do NOT go to Manhattan Nissan...they quote a really low leasing price and then "can't find the one you're looking for". The thiefs on Northern Blvd are worse, tried to pull the bait and switch and kept me waiting 4 hours...I reported them to Nissan who basically shrugged their corporate shoulders and never acted on the complaint.

Through the Costco automotive plan, I was recommended to Gregoris Motors in Valley Stream. The monthly lease price was a bit higher than the others but was a real figure. I dealt with the owner d!ck DiGregoris and everything was in order when I got there, no fancy dealing, the car that was ready & waiting was the one I was quoted on....only glitch was they gave me 1/3 of a tank of gas which I didn't notice until I was almost back to Manhattan.

I'm sure car dealers are desperate to make a deal now...should be good for you. I've been leasing Nissans for the past 4 cars (3 previous ones were Pathfinders) and never pay anything down, seems like that money could be working for me instead of for them.

Good luck, let us know your decision!

just got the 09 SL AWD w/ premium package in Gotham Grey.I prefer the 07 RAV V6 which my wife has and am attempting to trade cars with her.I have no complaints on the car other than I feel it is a womens car.... I went to nissan to look at the Fontier and left with a Rogue...the wife was with me...nuff said.It is a cute car and i was lured by the premium package. My bad.

Misterghost is from Mexico (NL= Nuevo Leon). If he was from the Netherlands, he would have driven a Qashqai.

Misterghost, an advice from my wife if you may: Always put the child seat on the passenger side of a vehicle as it seems this is the side where you have the less chance to get hit if you have an accident (and it is easier to get your child in and out as it is the walkway side too). So, that is what I did on her car. For the Rogue, I installed the seat in the middle (you have a hook for it behind the seat and you can use the two inside hooks of the passengers seats). Like that, when I want to see my baby, I just turn the mirror down as I was at night and we can talk and have fun together.

Welcome to this forum, and welcome to all the new members.

Hi!Just last Wednesday I bought an '09 Rogue SL in Wicked Black, with black interior, sunroof and AWD. As soon as I began to notice Rogues on the road I knew I had to have one, and I'm so glad I can now drool over my own car instead of someone else's!

This is my second Nissan. The first was a red '92 Nissan Maxima S, fully loaded. I bought it used (90,000 miles) but it was gorgeous and I drove it to over 200,000 miles. It's still in the driveway...would love to restore it someday.

Here are some photos of my Rogue I took on the way home from work today...

Hello everyone,

I/we just picked up an '09 Rogue SLawd for my fiance last night. We looked at all the different crossover SUV's and liked this one the best. This is her first new car (she's been driving an '02 cavalier since high school) and the first Nissan I/we have had since my '87 300z. I'm new to this forum, but not car forums. I drive an '07 GTI fahrenheit (any VW folks on here?).

One thing I noticed that struck me as funny while test driving the Rogue: First, we drove an S model, which was 2wd. I knew this model had a cvt transmission. We then tested an SLawd model, which had paddle shifters. Paddle shifters on a cvt? This made me think, "well, maybe the awd has a different transmission altogether". Nope! Does "shifting" with the paddles just jerk the car a little bit to make it feel like a car with gears? I drive a DSG transmission, so I get paddle shifting, but paddle shifting a cvt seemed pretty weird to me!

Hello and welcome to the club!

The S model has the same exact Xtronic CVT (built by Jatco for Nissan) as the SL; the only difference is that the SL's logic includes 6 fixed ratios that can be rolled through using the paddles or the shifter. S only offers Low and Overdrive control.

Hi everyone.

Just got my new Rogue three days ago.

Love the look.....silver SL.

Its really sharp looking.

I am having a hard time adapting to the CVT however....I don't like the minor vibration I feel at 1200 RPM in the steering wheel.

I hope I get used to it...other than that loving it.

I bought my first Nissan just two days ago and I am really excited about it already. I live in Bristol, TN (home of the world's fastest half mile for all you Nascar fans). We purchased a 2009 venom red rogue s 2wd. We got a great deal ($20,700: 2.9% financing for 60 months: and $3,000 for my little car with 103,000 miles on it!). I test drove tons of cars before I came up on this little known Nissan and I think it looks great! I was about 2 seconds from buying a used Murano but I love knowing every mile that has been put on the car. The CVT is different, but seems to work well... I just hope it is reliable!

Hello All,

I have a four month old Rogue and loving it. Silver Ice FWD 2009 with matching interior.

I have driven quite a range of vehicles as rental and I drove Rogue (S 2007 FWD) for the first time at RAC. I was so impressed ,could not resist buying it when a dealer offered me a great deal.

Hope you all are enjoying your Rogue as much as I do.Happy drivingCheers

Hi, I am Al from Ottawa/Kanata, Ontario. I picked up a 2008 Rogue SL AWD Venetian Red with Premium Package in August 2008, love the way it handles in the Winter, specially when we have a lot of snow. This is my second car as I also own a 2005 Nissan Altima. I've loved both vechicles and don't plan to go with any other Brand for now.

Is it true the Canadian built Nissans come with a complimentary snow shovel?

Well, they aren't built in Canada (the Rogue is assembled at Nissan's Kyushu plant in Japan), but Canadian model Rogue's come standard with:

- Mud flaps- Block heater- Heated side mirrors- Low washer fluid indicator

Some of these options are available separately in the US, but ones like the low washer fluid and block heater are Canada only. We also get heated 'cloth' seats on SL models. You have to get leather to get heated seats in the US. See, Nissan does look after us Canucks!

Hello All

Purchased a 2009 Rogue SL AWD, Iridium Graphite 2 days ago with a charcoal interior. Did not go for the Premium package, but added the rear bumper guard, the kick plates and the All Season cover for the rear deck.

Cheers

Howdy Folks! Just bought a 2009 Rogue, (in black) and it seems like a great car so far! I bought the chrome grill finishers and will most likely keep the rest stock. Glad there's a forum for the car... (sorry, porr quality cell-phone pic)
