These sunvisors ended up being a real godamn pain in the ***
Japanese sellers are real hard a$$es, I take it.
For instance, I had him get the nice transmission cooler you've seen. The seller asked all these questions about the car, which he shouldn't really have needed. I told him 1992 Q45.. He started pounding azuma for more info.. I took a vacation for like 4 days, and the guy was just hounding azuma, and being a real pain.
If these visors suck, I will just eat it. I'd rather keep my business relationship good with azuma, over not being able to get any more stuff at a great price.
Here are his regular fees
$10 basic service fee for the first 10,000 Yen. $1 for each additional Yen 1,000.
If the final bid is less than 3,000 Yen, then the basic commission is $6. 2 $6-$10 for domestic shipping to our storage depending on the seller and weight/size/origin of your item. Some items will cost more and some will cost less. 3 $12-$20 or more for International shipping depending on the weight/size/destination and method of shipment. Some items will cost more and some will cost less. Please check Shipping for details 4 $2 Bank fee. Unfortunately, bank checks are not used in Japan. We use bank transfers and that fees are incurred. 5 If you are our regular customer and if you bid on multiple items at the same time, we will combine your items and send them to you in a single box/shipment to save you on the shipping cost. It will have a small handling fee of $2-$4 per item plus the cost of a larger box. For example, if we just have to open envelopes and put the stuff together, the fee is $2. However, if we have open boxes and combine the items together or put the items in stronger boxes in case they arrive in weak boxes, then the fee is 4$.
If few/many items arrive from the same seller in very large boxes, then we have to seperate the items and put them in smaller boxes to make them acceptable to post office for delivery. For this type of service, the fee is $4 per box as well.
Really fair, I think. He is just super busy, and doesn't like being bogged down with having to ask all these guys info.
I told him the ASE is a real small electronic device, and I Just need the seller to answer all of two questions. 1. that it comes with a harness, that is compatible with the Q45. 2. it's compatible with active Qs..
On datasystems american website (
http://www.r-spec.com) they list the ASE as being available. They don't list the ASC680 and actually can't guarantee it will work with US Q45s, because it has never been tested on one.. However the ase is listed on their US page, so it shouldn't be a problem.
Anyway, he won't accept large paypal payments. I Don't think this applies to the ASE, since I paypaled him $200, and the ASE is less then $100 more.. I think he was refering to the large car stuff. If you do want this, he will do it. If it's on yahoo jp, it really shouldn't be a problem. I think he thought, we were going to ask him to contact junction produce or other companies, which he would charge a communication fee etc etc.. However if it's just a yahoo jp auction, it shouldn't be a problem.
He just doesn't know jack about cars, he's a PC guy.. so all these questions are sort of a pain for him, since he has no idea what we're talking about. He doesn't mind helping out with PC stuff, since it's his fortay..
Anyway, it's all good. I explained to him I enjoyed doing business with him, and would pay him double his normal rate, for all the time he spent with the visors.. I told him I'd take the visors anyway.
It's all good
