Holy $hit today sucked!

So I'm sitting in my car at the stop sign to pull out of the University (UCF) parking garage, and some dumbarse in a 1988 Camaro takes the turn to wide. Instead of waiting for me to pull out so he can have clearance to make the corner he keeps pulling forward. I yell out my open window at him "STOP you don't have room" and I lay on my horn. What does the dumba$$ do? Why he keeps going and plows into my car of course!

SO then the really fun part begins. Instead of stopping as soon as he hits me, he keeps going, pushing my car sideways and continuing to gash the driver side of the car. When he gets to my rear wheel well he finally decides, "damn I should stop and back up!" well, back up he does, but wait he's not done! He backs up 3 feet or so, and tries the corner again, this time nailing the corner of my rear bumper!

Only then do I get out of the car, and loudly demand "WHAT THE FU<K!!! are you drunk you dumba$$?" with which he replies "Oh well, I guess this is what insurance is for" AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! How do stupid people survive life???

I was SOOOOO tempted to pop my trunk, open my tool box (which was in there from work), and grab the sledge hammer and go to work on his car, and then him if I was still unsatisfied with just destroying his POS Camaro... fortunatly my good head kicked in, and I just got his insurance info, drivers license info, and phone #. I couldn't call the cops because I was just leaving the gym, and didn't have a cell phone in my gym shorts:(

Long story short, some dumba$$ just caused me a world of grief that I don't need/have time for right now. Is there any suggestions you guys might have? I know I should have got a police report, but I really had no way of contacting them, and since we were in a garage, no one driving by would have seen anything or notified the police:(

I'm really pissed... my car was flawless, and now it looks like all the other beater s13's running around:mad:

One good thing is that all the damage is cosmetic... The scratches are all pretty shallow, and nothing broke through the sheet metal. I suppose it could have been worse, seeing as its still driveable:)

oh man that sucks. you really should have waited for a police report. Are there cameras in the parking garage? if not, it might be hard to prove he did it now.

heres what i would do: since you have his insurance info, find out where he lives, then go by his house at 3am and bash his skull in with a tire iron or one of those 16" craftsman 1/2in drive ratchets. then rob him blind. oh, and burn his car too.

or you could claim insurance and then get tha' hook up on repairs (if you know someone w/ a body shop) and pocket the extra money. worst case scenario is that the insurance company will have your car completely fixed and looking new again. unless you understated the extent of the damage.

there are many ways to get back at this douche without physically hurting him, being in high school i am very good at this. just for some quick ideas, you could: fill his car door locks with superglue after he's locked it so he cant get back in and has to call a locksmith. you could routinely smear vaseline underneath the door handles so whenever he opens the doow it looks like he just whacked off. you could write terrible things on his car in shoe polish, which doesnt cause damage, but takes freaking forever to scrub off. steal his valve stems. (this one is great, especially when you do it to friends) you can take off the exhaust, right after the cat(s), and fill his resonator(s)/muffler(s) etc. with about half a gallon of gasoline. then when he starts the car he will get a 20-30 foot flame from the back of it. the guy will be so confused he probably wont go near it for a week! thats it for now, ask if you want more.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to file an insurance claim unless the guy just wants to cut me a check (which it didn't seem like that when I was talking to it. He was just like "who cares, let insurance pay for it":rolleyes)

The Classic Dealership network here in Orlando (They own the Nissan dealer I work for) own a body shop which does very nice stuff, and I get my employee discount... so I'll get a check from the insurance company to pay for the damage, and then I only pay the employee cost so I might pocket some money... maybe I'll just have them clearcoat the whole car again or somethingl like that...

The damage really isn't that bad, Its a bunch of scratches down the driver side, with a big dent on the rear quarter panel right before the wheel well. The door doesn't seem to be dented, just scratched, and the bumper is still straight, just scratched too. I'm mostly pissed at the fact that I try and keep this car pristine, and some careless f***** in a camaro just messes it up and doesn't give a damn:mad:

yeah, know how you feel. my car looks like a$$ though, so it doesnt bother me too much when people do stupid stuff to it. id kinda like it if someone were to rear end me at a low speed and push me into a car in front of me so it scrapes up my bumpers. that way ill be covered both front and back and i could probably get the whole car repainted for free. good luck with this piece if trash, hope you milk him for all hes worth.

LOL!!! So I'm on my way home from class today, and not two cars ahead of me is a very familiar looking car... you guessed it! A burgundy IROC Camaro.

I quickly grab the notebook where I wrote the plate # and it guess what? It matched! :)

So I kept my distance and the car between us, and much to my suprise he pulled into the road that goes to my neighbor hood (and 2 others)... leaving nothing between us. I follwed him, but I'm guessing he saw me not much after that, because he floored it and took the next turn out back to the main road. lol

I followed him there for just to see how much I could freak him out... he was making turns across traffic, with no blinkers, and all sorts of stuff. I gave up because the traffic was too heavy, but NOW I KNOW WHERE HE LIVES!!! hahahahahaha, good to know if he decides to be a punk and not pay me:mad:

oh well, i'm screwed... according to multiple people (my mother included) now, seeing as I didn't get a police officer there at the scene (no phone on me... damn I will NEVER forget to grab my phone before I go ANYWHERE again), I have no legal ground to stand on and the guy can tell me to f-off if I go ask for him to pay for it. wonderful... gotta love florida law, and my stupidity for leaving home without a phone...

F- YOU a$$!!! I haven't been this mad since my f'ing motor blew up... and maybe not even then:mad: this car's like my god damn baby! I wash it weekly, wax it monthly, always park it in the garage, spend almost every dime I make on it (pissing off my girlfriend in the process) and douchebag here felt like being retarded and screwing it up... AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

If he doesn't wanna pay, find his car, don't touch it. Take pics of his corresponding damage. The take that to the cops/insurance and see what you can do.

It doesn't matter. A police officer cannot write a ticket for an accident in a parking lot anyway. He can write a police report though and that report would state what happened but wouldn't say anyone is at 'fault' and there would be no tickets. Is his insurance company reputable? If so, contact them NOW and tell them what happened. They will contact him and ask him what happened. If they refuse to pay b/c there was no police report and he's a liar, threaten him directly and take him to small claims court if you have to. Chances are though that the insurance company will send you to an adjuster and you'll get a check in the mail. I was in a p-lot accident (in FL...O-town too) and that's what I had to go through. He (the old bastard that hit me) had All State. They let me get an estimate at the establishment of my choice (I chose the dealership), fax it to em, and they sent me a check in the mail. I never even had to contact my insurance company. You can get this taken care of, just get on everyones *** you can!

You can contact the local police now too...they'll question you and then question that kid and make a report from that. He won't lie to a cop and you can get a copy of the report!

No matter what you do, act fast. If you sit on this, nothing will get done.

I will call his insurance today. He has state farm which is a good company. The body shop estimated $800 worth of damage, and that was through a friend who gave me a discount. He said anywhere else would tell me $1000+

I went directly to the police station on campus after the accident and explained the situation, but they said they really couldn't do anything about it:( I will hold out hope that he will tell his insurance company the truth when I contact them later today...

If I don't get anywhere with insurance I will at least threaten to take him to small claims court and sue his a$$. I don't have a spare $800 layin around, nor do I feel that it its my responsibility to fix the damage caused 100% by him:mad:

Thanks for the info Dori, I will let you know how it goes

Then get an estimate from one of those places! If everthing works out, the check will be in your name so you can keep the extra money and use it for upgrades. :)

lol, we'll see;) I just talked to his insurance company and they will be contacting him later today. If he admits to it, they will send a claims adjuster out to inspect both cars, and then I can get a real quote from a body shop... I'm still not satisfied yet, but its a step in the right direction:)

OK, here's the newest info...

I just got off the phone with his insurance company, and apparently he said (under recorded statement) to them, that it was my fault because I was over the stop sign line :rolleyes COMPLETE BS! I know for a fact that I wasn't over the line, and even if I was, WTF does that matter. I was stopped and he took the corner too wide and hit me. His fault. End of story.

So they agreed to send out a claims adjuster Friday morning to get an estimate on the damage, and they agreed to pay half the damage costs to fix it

Another $hitty thing, the cell # the guy gave me at the accident isn't his (some old indian dude answered) but since I'm a resouceful bastard I called everyone in my Zip code with the same last name and on the 6th or 7th one got his dad. The kid was out, but now I know where he lives, and his home phone:firedevil

I'll be calling back tomorrow (I left my name and #, but I doubt he'll call me back) and will give him this option:

Pay the other half of the damages (assuming the insurance company pays one half) or I take his a$$ to civil court and sue him. I have a bad feeling this is gonna get worse before it gets better

it is, but in the end the kid will get his and thats all that really matters. At this point, I'd be so mad, I don't care if I ended up LOOSING money on the deal, I'd just wanna see him fry! Hehehe.

Well, originally you thought you weren't going to get anything...so at least you're getting something. Maybe if you slip the adjuster a $50, he'll add another grand to the estimate. ;)

When you've run out of resources, go off Beecher style on him.
