Are the halogen and xenon housings different?

Again, I can't say with certainty that the OEM xenons won't mount straight into the halogen housings, but I am 99% sure that it wouldn't fit right.

And in addition, the OEM xenon bulb is shrouded on at least one side. The halogen reflectors are made for a non-shrouded, 360 degree emittance bulb, which the OEM xenon is NOT. Even if you were to mount the bulb/ballast/etc into the halogen housing, the shrouded bulb would produce a very irregular beam pattern.
