i was reading the comments on this news story when it hit me that some many people post some horrible things online and than go to work where they spend all day with many people of differing ethnicity.

what are your thoughts on these comments?

They are indeed that racist, the difference is that they have the veil of a simple user avatar etc. on the internet, and don't have to own up to anything they say. They are more willing to let out their true beliefs when they don't have to worry about who is judging them... in real life they will have more of a filter, but they are still the same person.

Oh it gets worse. I know some racist a-holes around here. Yesterday on the radio they were comparing the crimes and punishments between Rothlesberger and Vick, saying Roth. Didn't get as severe of punishment as Vick because he's white.

Nothing really pisses me off more that the Al Sharptons of the world.

Yes, unfortunately IDIOTS are that racist. Annoys the hell out of me hearing some dumb redneck calling someone a "n*Igg*r". Of course they are too scared to say that to a black man's face! And that goes for all racism, not just white against black.

If anyone had a reason to be racist, it's me. I grew up in the ghetto of Durham. NC. I dealt with racism on a daily basis in school. I was usually the only white kid in each class. Yes, blacks are racist towards whites too, imagine that! But I fought back and eventually earned my respect. And I know the morons that hated me because of color don't represent the whole race.

i grew up with racism as well. being the only mixed kid in my class when i moved to florida really did show me just how bad some of the parents on both sides were.
hell,alot of them thought i was mexican until they asked and i said im black and white.
they would get this stupid look on their faces like i was some kind of weirdo.

i was raised to be something better,you cant choose your skin color,so why judge others by theirs.it has nothing to do with how smart they are.

I am going to say believe it or not, for the most part people are less racist.

It is called trolling... it isn't really about race, its just about trying to annoy people.

Growing up in Alabama I've see a lot of intolerance (I know big word for an Alabamian). Its sad but honestly I don't think it'll ever go away.

If you don't support the current establishment that is destroying the inner city and expanding programs which entice Gov reliance then you are immediately labeled a racist. If you don't have a valid argument then accuse someone of something they can't prove is false, regardless of their lack of proof that it IS true, like racism.
