Most of us, I think, have been here a while. If not here, perhaps dealing with cars, racing, the general "scene" as it were. As we do anything, we start to learn things, we constantly reinvent ourselves and assimilate new knowledge and experiences. If you think I am wrong, try and find some of your earliest posts or think about the things you said and did in the real world when you were young. You will lament it I assure you.
I've been here long enough to see the change in many of our members and in myself. As we see new young people stop by, s*** where they eat and get curb-stomped by the more learned, let us enjoy that comforting constant that is the stupidity of naivety. The goof that is youth. We all went through it, we all took our licks and perfected our craft. Some quickly settled into a groove, others steered into the skid; we lost some on the way.
I just want everyone to enjoy, as I have, the realization that every SR versus KA thread, every GT wing debate, by a 16 year old who doesn't know anything, usually starts the same way and spins out of control quickly in a predictable fashion. It's nice in a rapidly changing, chaotic world to have a fixed point to shoot an azimuth from. In a weird way, I am saying fanbois, I salute you. You silly, abrasive, ignorant fools. Thank you for being you. Please quickly move on towards maturity though because there is a fresh crop of new goofs right behind you and that is the beauty to which I am referring; there will always be newbs, the key is not to stay one.
