Are CAS Interchangeable?

I am putting a VH45 in my car and it came with a busted CAS Cap. I have an SR CAS laying around and I was wondering if they would read the same. Everything looks the same, except for the little plastic black piece. All screws line up, the connector is in the same location, and the little black piece is the same distance from the top. Here are some pictures to show you guys what I mean, the one on the left is from the SR, you can see the little black piece is slightly larger than the VH one on the right, which is busted. Everything else is identical though.

Won't work. The discs are different. There are 8 slits on the VH CAS. 4 of the big ones, and 4 teeny slits in between. The SR only has the 4 big ones.
