Does anyone have a LoJack or something similar? I was thinking of getting one when I take my 240 to Chicago. I was just wondering if there where happy with it and what they like/ don't like about them. I heard the police usually recover the vehicle in less than 3 hours.

I've had my 240 stolen before, and it had a top of the line Alpine alarm... so alarms are sh*t. Now when i go places i let my 155lb american bulldog sit in the passenger seat...if anybody wants to attempt to steal that--im not payin the medical bills!:)

in 3 hours ur system, seats and anything worthwhile will be gone... the idiots in my car only took my system and my NOS bottle, but it was empty...get theft insurance, i didn't have it and didn't get compensated at all! Now i have to go through the Ravaged wire mess and try to hook everything back up!

A friend of mine had his gauges ripped out of his Impreza RS. They busted the driver's window, and the quarter panel window just to rip the A-pillar pod out.

500 dollars worth of damage for 90 dollars worth of parts...

ive had my 240 broken into, they stole my life from me basically. head unit, laptop, phone, oakleys, graphing calculator, backpack and schoolbooks and notes (2 days before exams). and it was parked in front of my friends house in an upscale neighborhood. more han theft magnets though, i think the 240 (especially my black s13 hatch) is an accident magnet. people just do not see my car. ive had so many people pull out and almost hit me its wrong. ive never had this problem in any other vehicle except my friends black 88 porsche 944 (see a trend?) who was actually hit today. that lady will be sorry, oem porsche parts are a biznatch.

I think ignighted makes a kill switch/ key that you can remove when you leave your car somewhere shady. saw it in the past two mos. in super street.

this is what i am planing to do you can get this tint stuff to put on you window, looks like regular tint but really if someone trys to smash the window the tint hold it together, talked to a guy that sell it to companys, says that the tint would hold the glass together if a bomb when off 3 blocks away, i think a buglar would have a tuff time getting into a car, then wire 2 kill switchs for the fuel pump, if he get into the car and find one he ll think it going to work and it wouldnt start then he think there something wrong with the car and lives it, after that get a alarms system, and then a get a person to make a custom shield for the fuse box with a hex screw so if he get into the car fast enough to shut the alarm if with the fuses he cant, then i just hope that no one would steal my car

Nope... it's pretty scarey to watch someone effortlessly open your car and start it with haveing the correct key...

Always arm your alarm... it will at least keep away the n00bs...

How about a kill switch, just like a regular toggle switch splicing the hot wire to the starter, in a nice hidden location you can flip when you leave you car. And is it really That easy to break the steering lock? One more idea ive had was to have some type of like Molded plastic over half of your doorlocks on the inside, so like a coathanger or something couldnt access them so easy, if you know what im trying to describe.

i dont know a lot of my friends have starter kill switches, which pretty much dis-engages the starter but yeh fuel cut switches i think would be the best, or just sleep in the car with a gun? jk

Yeah when you get aftermarket tint it will hold the glass together if broken because of the glue. But there's a drawback to it. Since it will hold it together no one will hear the glass shatter making it easier for the thief.

a small bit of adivce that I notice while I was a soccer game, don't leave your sunroof open if you have a 89-93. I left my keys in the car at a game and I notice my sunroof was open. So I just poped my sunroof open, unlocked the door and got in. It was easy spent all of 5 seconds getting into my car.
