the funny thing about the pilot bearing is that when i would hear this humming noise coming from trans and when you step on the clutch the noise stops and i have read forums that tells you to replace the pilot bearing and the noise would stop but every time i replace mine the noise keeps on coming back.......why is that?

That's odd, my car does the exact same thing! I always thought it was the throwout bearing/ pilot bushing but was too scared to investigate and find that it was actually a much larger problem. If you ever find out what that is, don't tell me. Ignorance is bliss.

Yup, but newspaper works quicker...The TP squishes alot! And you need to keep adding it, as it comes out. Its like a majic trick.
